The colors on this photo are WAY off. The rug has none of the golden tones pictured above and is actually a muted green with burgandy and blue accents. There is a tan border, but it is not as rich of a hue as the picture would lead you to believe. It's a nice rug (the quality is good and it's thick) but not the color scheme I was expecting.

This rug looks much different in person than on the website. The background is definitely a light green/aqua color. The border is gold, and the other colors are as in the description on the website. It is a nice quality Safavieh rug, and a great value for the price.

I reviewed the pictures and other reviews very carefully before deciding to order. I ordered on Saturday and the rug arrived Wednesday. My biggest issue with this product is that the pictures completely misrepresent the color of the rug. Not sure if they used flash or what but even reading the reviews, I was not expecting this rug to have a dark gray/brownish overall color which makes any room it is in darker and limits the level of contrast of the details in the rug. I was expecting a light tan/beige colored rug and not this dark brown/grayish overall hue. For a moment I actually thought they shipped the wrong rug but the pattern was the same. The rug itself was thick and overall good quality. But please be forewarned..if you are expecting a beige or yellowish tone to brighten a room, this is not it. I am returning this product for this reason. Customer service was wonderful and responsive so I am pleased with that. Mostly, I want the rug in the picture and for whatever reason, this rug does not look like the pictures.

Good value, overall. Thick rug, doesn't slip. Colors a bit more muted than my computer showed. I thought it would be gold, but it's a muted yellow. Still, very pretty. My big complaint is this rug had a funky smell--old and musty. I've sprayed fabric freshener on it, and it's helped a bit. Still, after a week, I catch the scent now and then. Am hoping time takes care of this.

I ordered this rug on a Tuesday night and it was delivered just as I arrived home from work on Thursday evening. You can't beat shipping price--or speed of delivery (at least in the NYC area). I had read all the reviews and expected that it would have more muted colors than appeared on Overstock, which generally I like. I But the actual rug looked a bit duller and darker than I expected perhaps because of the sheer size and the electric lighting. This morning, the sunlight did not entirely improve the situation. It's pretty. It's plush. And part of my disappointment is my own inability to imagine how the pattern would seem enlarged. It is a busy, and as another reviewer mentioned, will go best with solids (whereas I like a good dose of prints). And the dusky nature of the colors rules out using many bright pure colors, though whites and creams and other pale colors as well as a bright teal (which does appear in the rug) might go well. Also as others have mentioned there is a pinkish color. For me, an additional problem was that I realized when I opened it in the living room how silmilar the pattern I have is to one in the entry hall. The effect is overpowering to have the two near each other. All in all, I think I must put it in a bedroom that gets a lot of light. It is, as others have said, a beautiful rug with a bit of an old world flavor. But I would advise potential buyers to be very clear about what they want--and again I can pretty much identify with most of the reviews I have read. I am simply not going to give the rug a very low rating because I don't love it. I took a risk and I am not sure it paid off. But for the next buyer it might. And for a New Yorker who wants to create soundproofing with a thick rug and pad on hard wood floors, it works extremely well.

This rug is beautiful. I purchased the 6x9 and it's exactly that. The background green is not light green as much as muted, dusty green. And as other have said the border is gold not the yellow that shows in the picture. The colors, although bolder than pictured, have a very nice, old-world look. The quality and workmanship are very good. It's a nice thickness and comfy to walk on. I have the rug on a hardwood floor and I'm not using a carpet pad. It doesn't seem to be moving yet as it is a good weight. The cotton backing is well done. This is a really good value and you can't beat the shipping cost. I've always been pleased with items I purchase at Overstock. Cheers!

I just received this rug and I LOVE it. The colors are way off from the picture - they are much more muted (which is what I was hoping for) and there is a little pink in it, which I was not expecting at all. It was shipped in a roll, so there were no creases in it. The border, which looks gold in the photo, is actually tan. The background is more of a grayish teal than a sage green. The pattern is clear and the rug is very soft. I am very pleased with this rug.

Overall very pleased. The wool is sllghtly courser than the other two rugs I have purchased from overstock, so I'm glad it's going in my dining room, not living room. Beautiful colors.More green than tan. Very nice.

I have purchased several oriental rugs in the past at a much higher price. This product has beautiful color , excellent quality at a great price. The selections are good. I am looking for a runner to go with it .

This is a beautiful rug. It looks perfect in my living room. The colors were slightly different than what was shown on the internet. It looked a little bit more yellow on-line. But it still works, and was beautifully made. So, thank you!!

Fantastic rug for the price, it is thick and well made. The colors are slightly different than presented, however I expected that and was pleasantly surprised with what I received. The green is very light and almost has a bit of beige to it. The gold border isn't as bold, which is what I was hoping for. The reds are very deep and there is also a bit of salmon and blue as well. Overall it is better than I expected and am happy with my purchase. The rug came folded in a brick shape so I am still waiting for the creases to flatten out, but they are already nearly gone. The only thing I don't like is that a 2'x4' section at one corner appears as though the fibers are a little darker. I have tried to "comb" and vacuum the rug and it doesn't help, however it is not worth the hassle of trying to return it. I purchased the larger 9'6"x13'6" size and they are no longer available so I will make do as it isn't all that noticeable unless you're looking for it.
