I was hesitant to buy a rug online, but thought this wool rug was a great value, and I really liked the pattern. Reviewers of similar rugs stated that the colors were brighter than expected, and I was a bit concerned. However, I just got the rug, and I love it! I would not say that the colors are brighter than expected, but rather that they are more vivid. It is a beautiful quality rug at a good value.

The rug design and coloring is very nice. My biggest compaint is about the shedding for the last 3 weeks balls of wool have been swept up all over the floor and in other rooms. I have vacummed soo many times and I am hoping that I don't have to send this rug back because I am afraid if the shedding keeps up there won't be any rug left. soon.

• Did the color match the color displayed onsite? No ---It is much lighter and more green in person. It appears very gold on screen and is not.
• How is the quality of the product? Quality could be much better--I have had the rug for over 3 weeks it is still shedding I am hoping that in a year I still have some wool left.

The design is as pictured but the color is way way off. Celery green border with lots of cream, instead of the rust and golds shown. And it really sheds A LOT !!

Be aware of the color.. It is much more green than gold as it appears on my computer screen. Also not as silky as wool rugs can be. I will keep it, but not completely happy with purchase. Arrived extremely fast!

As most other reviewers, I have to say that the color of this rug is more drab olive green than the gold that is pictured. I anticipated this based on other reviews and still wanted the rug. I would prefer the "celery" green someone mentioned to the more drab olive green and muted colors that predominate in the rug. The pattern is beautiful; just be aware of the colors. I have two Persian-style rugs in red and was ready for something less vibrant. It may be unfair, but I unrolled this rug next to a more expensive, hand-knotted Persian rug, and the quality difference was evident. This rug isn't as silky feeling (both are wool) as the more expensive rug, and there is a noticeable difference in knots-per-inch. Having said this, this rug is a great value for the price and I'm keeping it. It looks brand new, didn't have any strange smells (mold or otherwise) and the shipping cost can't be beat. It does shed, but not by the vacuum bag full, and I think this is normal with wool rugs until after a number of regular vacuumings.

This rug is well worth the price. It had some creases that disappeared after laying flat for a week or so. It sheds like crazy but is much better after lots of vacuuming. That's normal for a wool rug. It's very soft and adds warmth to the dining room. I'm very happy with my purchase. I've seen comparable rugs for the double the price.

The rug is plush and beautiful. The color overall is more green (light olive/pea soup) than gold, but enough gold/dark tan to make it work. Wonderful price, excellent and fast delivery!

High quality rug at an exceptional price and it arrived in 2 days! Base color is more celery green than the beige that appeared on my monitor, but it still works fo me.

I gave this beautiful rug as a wedding gift. The rug has a luxurious feel. The colors are more vivid than what is shown in the picture (especially the reds), but overall the colors are muted, which makes it look very expensive. What a great buy.

After going through the multitude of rugs on overstock, I settled on this rug and I'm so glad I did. First of all the value for what I received cannot be beat. This rug is thick and feels so good to walk on. This rug would easily go for at least $800 or more in other places. The colors are great. I was a little hesitant at first b/c it seemed a bit gold in color on the screen. My living room is a sage green, with a green sofa and a taupe colored sofa. The rug looks great. It seems green b/c of the surroundings, but doesn't overpower the room, maybe just a hint of green with nice contrast of red, blue and taupes. It really does tie the room together. It also looks great against our oak floors. It also a nice transitional piece meaning it's not super contemporary in feel but also not traditional so it goes great balancing some of our more modern decor. This is one of the best online purchases I made in quality and value. Thanks to Overstock! Oh and you can't beat the shipping. $2.95 to ship a 58lb rug is incredible.
