not what I expected
I bought this rug for my children's room. Unfortunately, what I have learned is that tufted rugs made in India use a noxious chemical which has been outgassing for several days now. The odor is very disturbing-I don't know how any company could specify this rug construction/use of chemicals for a children's rug. My daughter thinks the rug is beautiful, but I am very close to sending it back. When I spend time in their room my lungs hurt. The odor to me smells like mold. I called Overstock and they said a return is no problem, which is good.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality is not what I expected. The rug (I found out) is made in India.

Beautiful Rug..that sheds a lot
I was amazed at the weight and beauty of the rug. EVERYONE who sees it in person or in a picture always comments on how beautiful it is. The rug is REALLY heavy and THICK.....I have even put off getting the non slip padding for underneath because it just don't move at all. I bought it for my daughter's playroom and I am SO glad I did; the colors are perfect and true to the picture on this website. I thought the cost was extremely reasonable and have always been impressed by Overstocks area rug prices and low shipping costs. The only negative (hopefully this will lessen over time) is the amount of shedding of wool that comes off the rug. I've advised guests to not wear black as they will appear covered in wool when they leave. Maybe over time it will lessen...I hope! Regardless of this 1 negative, it would not stop me from ordering another Handmade New Zealand Wool rug from Overstock, in fact, I will probably order another in a few years time for my daughter's bedroom.
