Handmade Cantara Leather Rug (9' x 13')

This rug would be fine for our needs, however the 'horsey smell' others talked about did not go away. We have the rug in a vacation home, so we are not there all the time...every time I walk in the door, the first thing I smell is the darned rug. Perhaps other reviewers think the smell has gone away because they live with it and have gotten used to it, Just like smokers don't smell the odor in their clothes and furnishings. This odor does not go away, and we will be replacing the rug soon Other than that, the rug would be satisfactory.

I love this rug. It is very unique yet neutral enough to go with a variety of styles and decor. I have received very high compliments on it and everyone loves that it's made of leather! Exactly what my living room needed to add that finishing touch.

If you are considering a jute or other natural weave rug, this is so much more unique but with the same aesthetics. The "pony" smell dissipates to just a regular light leather essence. You can't vacuum with a Dyson/beater bar. I still love this rug. You need a rug pad for sure. It is gorgeous.

Bought for a summer house. Colors and textures perfect. Despite light color does not seem that it will show dirt. Arrived quickly. Great value
