handmade black leather shag rug was better than i expected.the color is true black,the quALITY IS AWESOME,everyone that comes to my house has said really good things about the feel and quality of this rug.i am more than pleased.next time i hope this rug comes in a bright RED

This rug is beautiful to look at and great feel on bare feet. (my feet gets dirty due to black ink bleeding on my feet), I have mine placed in the Power Room top of black marble tile which is rarely used and it works fine. It's not a kind of rug that can take the traffic or a lot of use, due to difficulty in cleaning. Vacuum will lift the pieces of leathers out, and dry cleaning is only recommended remedy. Take that into consideration. You would be better off buying a new one. If you have a place to just show off than everyday use, it's well worth the looks and price, specially if you're looking for the color blackest black, this is it !!! Not the best kind of rug for everyday use. My visitors are impressed with the different looks and quality. I love mine !!! I gave 4 stars due to color bleeding.

This rug is great. Exactly what I was looking for. The pieces of leather are large and soft and it is full. Great for sitting or lying down. Yes, some of the pieces come off but, that is pretty standard for a leather shag rug. Excellent value. Also, a rich, true black - not blue-black, green-black or grayish.

This rug is way more than I expected!Even though the rug is black, it's two shades of black, therefore, the tone of the rug is complimentary to the other colors in the room. It's bold without being overbearing.The only problem I have now is deciding what other color I want.
