I originally bought this piece thinking it would be something I'd use to decorate a shelf in my bookshelf - based on the dimensions provided. I thought the price was a little steep for being a "small" piece, but it was so unique looking I decided to purchase it anyway. To my surprise (and delight) when I opened up the package, it was HUGE. Overstock has listed the dimensions incorrectly: it's 27" H x 4" D x 7" W. Totally worth the price! It's a gorgeous piece! And as a female guitarist, it's works for me. It's now displayed on *top* of my bookshelf as a stand-alone piece. l love it.
