I purchased this rug and then decided it was too big for the area I wanted so I was intent on returning it. Before it had arrived I purchased a couple more rugs locally but they didn't work. I wanted to complete the "relaxing spa" feel of my bathroom so after reading more comments I decided I would see if it would work. It's perfect! Some have mentioned a musty smell (it is afterall, jute, a natural material) and one should expect a slight smell. I used Fabreaze and that eliminated it. The rug is a natural, relaxed floor covering, perfect for my ceramic tiled bathroom. I couldn't be more pleased and the larger size is actually better than if I had purchased something smaller. One comment regarding the material it is made from. The tag on the rug said "100%" jute but the manufacturer webpage also referred to it as "sisal." It's not sisal, it's jute which is a little coarser and not as soft but soft enough.

Love this rug..only issue is it is a very thick rug and may not fit under most doors when open. Needed to move rug back from doorway. Soft to walk on, beautiful colors. Rug only sheds "dust" for short period. Easy to clean. Nice casual look on my hardwood floors!

I second guessed myself after placing the order for this rug, but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the overall look and feel. My family loves to walk on it. It feels incredible of the feet... like getting a foot massage. It's a little thicker than the image appears, which was a huge plus. I am in love with this rug. Still can't believe the price. Such a steal!

I did not find this rug to smell at all. A previous description mentioned it smelled like hemp, but I did not find that. I have a gray tile with tan accents so the tan colored rug blends beautifully.

I like this rug but only have had it for a few weeks so don't know how it will wear. The pile is too high to clear front door but I do have a draft guard attached to the bottom of it. As most reviewers state, the pile is higher than 1/4 inch but I think the thickness adds to the fact that it lays well and has a nice texture. I would put one under a dining table or in an area away from a door unless you verify your door is high enough to clear. My entry hall is wide so I moved it over in front of the door to the garage and it clears well there. I had hoped to place it so that it set in front of both doors. Perhaps I can find a different style of draft guard as I like the look and texture of the rug. I hope it wears better than a wool rug I had in the hall which attracted soil and wore at the corners. It had no odor and rolled out flat immediately.

This rug is so thick that walking on it without shoes is like getting a foot massage. No kidding. It's really substantial, and far more beautiful than one would expect.

Very nice rug for the price. Dies have a little odor at first but took care of with some fabreeze. Looks more expensive than it was.

I bought this rug to go into a half bath that contains my cats' litter boxes. I LOVE this rug. I love its smell and texture. Any litter that comes out of the box onto the rug, lands down between the raised texture and when you walk on it you don't step on any litter. It stays there until I vacuum and the smell stays fresh. It is perfect for an area with litter boxes. Also, it is soft and feels great when you walking on it.

This rug is heftier & nubbier than I expected. The online pictures make it look somewhat flatter & more refined. Nonetheless, it suits my purpose and looks well in my home. The color is just right. It's only been a month but this rug is holding up well to foot traffic.

Bought this rug for our kitchen in front of the sink. It fits there perfectly. With natural stone on the kitchen floor, this rug is a perfect compliment to that. Soft on the feet which some Sisal rugs are no. One complaint...As so often is the case with Sisal rugs, they leave a lot of dirt under them after being on the floor for a while. I guess they just naturally have a lot of dirt in them. But all in all a good bargain and rug.

I couldn’t have purchased a better rug! I have a small, beach cottage and I was looking for a rug to go in my small kitchen. It’s a perfect fit and looks amazing! It’s beautifully woven with natural jute. It’s FAR better in person than the picture. It’s also chunkier than the picture displays, but in my opinion, that’s what makes it that much better. You can’t go wrong with this rug!

I had already purchased a 100% jute rug with fringed border for my entryway. Since i wanted a rug for in front of my kitchen sink I did not want the fringe border. I almost passed this one up because it said fine sisal but after reading the reviews that it was 100% jute I bought it. I could not be more pleased. It is so well made, thick and soft to stand on and looks amazing with my hickory cabinetry. The golds and browns(the picture seems more beige to me) compliment the kitchen so well. I would buy this one over and over again. You cannot beat the price and quality of this rug.

Note of warning to anyone: the pile thickness was incorrect in the description. It is more like 3/4", not 1/4". Would not clear under my door - Overstock still charged me a return fee even though the description was incorrect.

I'm very happy with this rug. It's in my laundry room & is comfortable standing on in bare feet. The color & texture are great - adds just the right amount of natural element to soften the room.

Love this rug! Using it in a tiled foyer that abuts to a cherry wood floor. Colors are very complimentary. Substantial feel to the rug that feels fine under foot. It should be noted that my front doors just clear this rug. Could not have been any thicker otherwise I could not have used it in the foyer. Very pleased with purchase. I have also decided to purchase the runner for our lanai!

rug is mislabeled. actual rug sent by overstock was jute, and poorly crafted jute. do not make the same mistake I did and think the rug is sisal. it is not.

I purchased the 3x5 and two 8x10 rugs for my living room and I am extremely pleased with them. They are very soft for being natural fiber rugs. Not scratchy at all. You do have to be careful when you vacuum this rug, make sure you put it on its highest setting as the bristles on the vacuum, if low, will cause the fibers to loosen. Overall, it is a great rug at a great price.

After reading some comments I was worried it would be smelly and was prepared to let it air outside but, apart from an initial whif on openning, it was fine. The look is a little more rugged than the photos show but that actually worked better in the room. Very pleased with the product, the price and the convenience of ordering on-line.
