I was nervous about buying online but couldn't find what I wanted in the stores (or on other sites.) I feel the quality is excellent for the price - a great deal. Some others have mentioned (in reviews) the odor from the carpet - it did have a chemical odor for a few days but it went away completely - I imagine being wrapped up in plastic and then sitting in the sun on my back porch after it was delivered intensified the odor. This carpet has changed the whole look of my living room. I was planning on repainting and seriously thinking of replacing my sofa and chairs but bringing this new, neutral color carpet into the room made everything look fresher. Everyone walks in and asks if I bought new furniture because the room looks so great. It feels wonderful to walk on with bare feet and now I also enjoy laying on the soft, comfy rug. It took a couple of days for all of the small folds "wrinkles" to lay flat but now I'm thrilled. The lower pile sculpted lines give the rug added interested. Love this rug and my first Overstock buying experience. It arrived so fast I was shocked to find it outside the house when I got home from work. It was a beautiful, hot day but it was wrapped so well that even if it had rained it wouldn't have harmed the rug.

I am glad that Overstock added more pictures to this listing. I purchased this item 6 months ago based on the extremely zoomed in image only, so was surprised by the multiple rectangles, but I got used to them. I also feel like the contrast between rectangles isn't as stark as in the photos. I found the color to be slightly cooler (more of a taupe) than in the pictures shown, but I had actually made the decision to purchase this rug based on other reviews which said so about the color. The fibers are dense, unlike other shaggy rugs where you can feel the rough knots when you dig your fingers in. I was worried about how the rug would hold up to my dog who sheds like crazy, and it's done just fine. I vacuum it weekly on the high pile setting (or the one just under that). And in-between vacuuming, it does a darn good job of concealing all that fur.

We are truly delighted with the rug. The pattern is not from two shades of beige but from long and short shag. Although the color is different the rug is actually nicer than depicted.

Good quality but color is much darker then shown and the white is not white. It's high quality but you need to know it's a different color than shown.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The actual carpet is significantly darker then pictured. I was disappointed in the color but kept it because I still like it. The beige and white are much, much darker. The white is more of a light beige.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. A little bit of a shag but not as deep of a shag as I had hoped for. It's still pretty and fits perfectly under my dining room table.

We were very happy with this purchase. It is super soft and plush especially with the added foam slip pad. I would highly recommend it as an area rug for any room.

I am happy with my purchase. I knew what I was getting after reading the other reviews. A few of the woven loops have come up but there under my table so you can't tell. Very soft my puppy just loves to lay on it!

I am very happy with this rug. As mentioned in a number of reviews, it is darker than it looks in the picture, but I was expecting that and I am happy withe the color.

really do love this rug, was a little skeptical about ordering rug online, but not dissappointed at all.

Just received it and it is unwrapped. I will wait until tomorrow in daylight before I decide to return it or not. Since there have been so many negative comments on the picture versus the reality why don't you post a corrected picture?

I was very pleased when we received this rug! I didn't know what to expect on the color after reading other reviews...but I love the color and did not really see a great deal of difference in the cut and uncut shag color. We bought this so that our 6 month old grand-daughter could be on our wooden floors and was not sure if we would need a pad under it, but it stays put and is plenty soft enough without a pad! Great rug!

My mother has told me numerous times how much she loves the rug. She had been searching at her local retailers without success. I suggested she try Overstock as I have had such good luck with rug purchases. She was not expecting the color to be true to the photos & it goes quite well with her decor as it is neutral. She is thrilled that it was half the price of the rugs she had looked at locally

I odered this rug because I already knew that I loved one that was similar and wanted something a bit different in an ajoining room. It was a bit darker than I had expected but once I got used to it, I absolutely love it! Very plush. Very good quality. Although it's plush, it doesn't pack down when you walk on it.

My mom was thrilled with this rug. She lives in an apartment and this 8x10 nicely covers most of her apartment carpet. It makes everything look newer. It is fairly soft, and comfortable.

Okay, so the rug is fine. It is just different in two aspects than I thought it would be. One: it is darker. It is more brown than beige. But it is pretty and it works in my space. Two: it is not a shag rug. Maybe I missed something in the descrption. But it is only shag in the middle section and two of the four outer, patterened sections. The other two sections are loop carpet, about a half inch shorter than the shag parts. The shorter loop sections are not soft or comfortable. If I had it to do again, I'd not buy it. Not because it isn't pretty or quality, but because I wanted the entire rug to be shag and soft.

It's a great rug. It's a short shag which i really like. The color was not what I was expecting, it's more grey than beige. Good thing it still goes with our color scheme otherwise we would have had to return. Overall happy with the quality and purchase.

The color was NOT the same as seen in the picture. I was expecting a light beige rug with a shade darker On the out side areas. What I received was a two tone, more brown with a mix of dark beig and some light beige. Actually when we opened it we thought it was grey. In the right light you can see the light beige. After it was down it grew on us.
