  • very hard , smells like glue

    This arrived today and when I enrolled it I found a rug that is hard as a rock. it did not unroll but instead has huge waves in it . The online chat lady was useless , didn't use pronouns and basically told me it would eventually flatten out. I really don't think so . I had to reverse roll it several times and it is still very hard and wavy . Additionally the smell of Glue completely overwhelmes the room and is so strong I wonder if it is toxic. The rug is nice looking and soft in spite of the wavyness, but I don't think it is worth it. Next time i'll spend more and buy a real wool rug.

product is very hard and the rug is very wavy. I have tried revers rolling it, but it is not flattening out. Is there a tecnique that will expedite this process. Also the smell of glue is overwhelming, do I need to be concerned? brianboston1 on Feb 23, 2012

There are several ways to get your rug to straighten out. You can find some helpful hints here: http://www.ehow.com/how_7808872_straighten-curling-rugs.html . There is little concern about the glue smell that comes off of new rugs, like other new items, the scent is non-toxic and will fade. overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 28, 2012
