I love the look, weight, natural fibers, size and price...but it is so uncomfortable on bare feet. This is the right rug if you are using it without comfort in mind. It was too expensive to return so we are getting toughened up to it.

We bought our previous area rugs here 6 years ago and decided it was time for a change. Saw this rug has excellent reviews and decided to try jute. At first it looked like a giant roll of braided twine, and I was afraid of showing my husband. But once we got it unrolled and on floor, it looked great. He loves it. It does not show dog hair like our previous black traditional rug, but it does shed when you vacuum it, which is expected. The color and texture is what our tigerwood floor needed-very neutral and natural. I've seen these in PB stores for much more. Overstock is the place to shop for home goods! (Our rug did not have fringe like picture in ad)

Absolutely thrilled with my rug. I bought the bleached one and was worried because one of the reviews mentioned it was more yellow in color. It is not yellow at all. Mine also did not have fringe as many reviews have also mentioned, very happy about that as well. Looks fantastic on my darker hard wood floors, feels great on my feet, but if I had little ones of crawling age I think I would avoid it just because of being rough on the knees. Rug was here in 2 days (2 days!!!!!!!!!!!!). So happy with it I may have to order a few for my retail store too!!

We have the natural. It did not come with fringe, thankfully! Nice rustic clean weave, goes great with our modern/rustic/eclectic kitchen. We have it under our large kitchen table. Was nervous about purchasing a rug off the internet without seeing it, but we got lucky. I spent months searching for a rug at a lot of high end stores (unsuccessfully), so was really happy when we received this and it actually worked. The natural color has browns, golds, hints of greens and grays all combed into the weave, so a pleasant surprise. I am concerned about some of the weave in the middle of the carpet unraveling since it looks bunched and loose (it came that way), but I hope it doesn't.

I normally don't take time to review items that are what I expected from a company where I routinely shop. However, since the reviews written by other shoppers were so helpful and acurate, I felt I should take the time to give this rug and Overstock.com props for the quality of the product and the awesome service. Delivery to our door (we live in the country) on Wednesday after ordering in on Monday .... all that for $2.95 shipping. The rug did not have fringe (fine with me) or latex backing (also fine with me..no pad was provided but I already had one), but the reviews had already given me a heads up on those issues I ordered the bleached rug. I love the color and the variation in the natural product. Much cheaper than *** and the quality from reviews on both sites indicate this rug is better made and a much better buy. It looks absolutely fantastic in our great room. I wish now I had one for the dining room. Somewhat of an odor but nothing like a seagrass rug. No dirt or excessive fibers either when we unrolled it. Great job of packaging. I would highly recommend this rug.

This rug is phenomenal. No fringe as in picture which we were HAPPY about. We have it in our living room and it is incredible.

Great buy! Had to buy a large number of big area rugs to protect a houseful of newly-refinished wood floors, and Overstock had by far the best prices for these types of rugs. Literally saw this same rug on a couple other web sites for double & triple the price I paid on Overstock. Haven't had them long enough to comment on the wear-and-tear-ability, but they seem like sturdy rugs & look great. Very pleased with purchase! We've practically renovated an entire old home (from fixtures and lighting to curtains, rugs & furniture) on Overstock the past few months - great prices & awesome customer service!

Makes my living room look like a ********* catalog :) Color of the Natural is muted browns and tans (not golden like some other jute I've seen). It's big and substantial. But you must get a thick rug pad (from overstock of course) to give it a nice cushiony feel as it is a bit hard and bumpy on the feet without one, Our dog gets excited in certain situations and she pulled up some of the weave by biting at it while playing - no big deal, I just tied a tight knot in it, cut off the long ends, and pushed it back through and under the other weave and you can't tell at all. I'm very very happy with this rug...wish I had room for more. Oh, and thankfully NO TASSLES...which is what I was counting on based on other reviews.

There is no fringe on this rug. It is very thick and beautiful. If you are expecting something like what you see in the picture, this will not be it.

I'm not really picky to begin with. This rug is VERY much like the texture and feel of a coarse Berber carpet- not soft- but that's what I wanted. There is no fringe (others have said this too). the weave is not "square" all the way thru the length, kinda "runs off" somewhat diagonally at one end. It IS a hand made rug and looks it. That's what I wanted though. Well made and sturdy otherwise.

You can't beat the value of this rug!! I received it only 3 days after ordering it. There was no dirt or sand as mentioned by others, but there was also no fringe. No big deal for me as I was expecting that based on other reviews. It folded out perfectly and is a beautiful rug!! I am extremely pleased.

I ordered this natural jute rug for my living room. This rug is an amazing value for it's size. All other rugs I've seen this big cost at least $500. Be aware it's very heavy! The picture here doesn't do it justice. It's a big braided weave, beautiful striped natural colors and works surprisingly well with the new fancy furniture. No fringes, which I'm actually happy about. Only drawback is it's not soft underfoot, slightly scratchy. Also it was delivered rolled up and then folded in half, so I had to flatten out the bumps, but by a week later they're all gone. The shipping was quick! Overall I highly recommend this rug.

We ordered this rug to go under our dining room table in our new house. I really do like the style of it, but I do have to say the color of it was a bit different than I had thought. We ordered the bleach color and it almost has a hint of yellow to it. It wouldn't be a big deal except that our kitchen counters are a greyish green, so I really wanted it to be more tan than it is. But, overall, I really do like the rug and I'm getting used to the color and think that it will work. Quality is great and it was at our house within a few days of ordering it.

What an amazing deal. I received this rug in 2 days and it was in great condition. I also do not have the described fringe, and even without the fringe the rug is the correct dimensions. The jute is fairly soft underfoot, not scratchy, and looks fantastic on my tortoise-shell colored stained concrete floor. The rug was not dirty, nor did it contain any of the previous comments of red fibers, it was in perfect condition.

I was SO disappointed by the bleach colour. It actually looked like they sent me the wrong colour. It was nowhere near ivory, but a deep tan. Also, no fringe. The jute was not as smooth as other's have mentioned. I might have gotten a fluke. Either way, it's going back.

I just got my rugs today. I ordered 2 in bleach, I was hoping they would be a bit lighter, I wonder if they sent me the wrong color. I don't really care because I like them so much.I would have given 5 stars, but, I just saw they lowered the price on these rugs after I bought them, booo!Anyway, these rugs do not smell like the other reviewers said, at least not mine(these are Jute, jute does not smell that much, SEAGRASS rugs smell alot!, these are not Seagrass.Mine had No dirt or any dust coming out of the packaging.I was surprised that these rugs were nice, thick and lush! I thought they were great on my feet(sisal rugs can be a bit too much on the feet, these are jute)My rugs DID come with the fringe!My rugs came in around 4 days! That was awesome! They were left on my doorstep, and boy they were heavy!!! If you order this size, please get someone to help you out.Overall. If you are looking for a rustic, beachy, island feel to a room. Order these with confidence! IF you are looking for a polished looking rug, I'd look for another rug.OH, I also wanted to mention mine were sized right to the "T", exactly the same measurement given. They were pretty 'even' too.Great rugs.

I am so pleased with this rug from ordering which was done on a Sunday and by Wednesday, it was at my door. This 9x13 rug which is a very heavy roping (jute) I purchased the bleach color which looks really nice on my oak floors. It needs to be vacuumed and then it literally is amazing. It covers a large area of my room which is very highly used with dogs and kids. It does not have any fringe as the picture shows. I'm very pleased and being a very frequent buyer to Overstock this once again has been a great experience. I do value these comments which also helped me decide to purchase this rug, so I give it a thumbs up for anyone considering it.

The rug is an excellent value, the bleached version is quite natural in appearance and is nicer than the picture. There is not a fringe on the rug and it is about 3/4 to 1 inch thick. Looks great against our dark hard wood floors.

I just received the rugs that I ordered. I received them within 3 days. They look gorgeous and they are a great value. My only complaint is that they came with so much dirt (red dust) that I have to empty my canister twice. I couldn't find any other 9" x 13" jute rug priced like this one.
