great rug for the price

I purchased this rug on Friday and received it yesterday. (Tues) It is a great rug for the price. It is thick and durable and I like the fact that you can reverse it for wear. A couple of things things you should know however: 1. the "natural" jute rug is the color of dirty dishwater. Its kindof a grey-beige. (great if you have kids and pets) 2. When I opened this rug and laid it out, my allergies kicked into high gear. I think maybe because it had been wrapped for a while at the warehouse it may have gotten a little bit of mold or mildew in it. (it doesn't smell like anything though...it doesn't have an odor at all.) 3. Jute is basically rope. This rug is skinny lengths of rope woven together and the fringe is the rope ends. so if you are looking for a grasscloth or seagrass look, this rug is not for you. I wasn't very happy with the color at first because I thought "darn, it looks like dirt." but I layered a dhurrie over it and it really anchors the space and I don't have to worry about the dog messing it up.

very good value

the rug is really inexpensive so i don't have to be paranoid about damaging it. its nice and thick. remember that jute is not the softest material in the world. this is something you would want in a high traffic area like a family room - not a bedroom where you walk around barefoot. doesn't feel great on bare feet. but its natural fibers that won't offgas nasty chemicals into your home. I use it to protect my wood floors int he family room.

Love it!

This rug is perfect for our beach condo. The combination of great look and even better price make this rug a real winner! It is exactly what I was looking for and it looks great in the family room! I ordered it and it was at my doorstep in 3 days!!! I would highly recommend this rug!

Great rug!

I'm very pleased with this rug. I'm using it in my sunporch, which is 10x14 so it nearly takes up the whole space which is great b/c it's covering an ugly floor. It had a pretty strong new rug smelll when I got it so I used some vacuum carpet deordorizer and that cleared it up. The crease down the middle was gone in less than 3 days for us. The rug was pretty stiff when I first put it down, but it seems to have softened over the last few weeks so that makes it feel a little better on bare feet.

How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The color on the site makes it look a little dull and washed out, but it has a lovely natural jute color.

Please tell us about the quality of the product. Overall quality is good- there are a couple of "pulls" in the rug that I snipped off so my puppy wouldn't chew on them.

Great rug

This rug did come with a lot of debris or dirt that shook out of it, but I assume that could have been taken care of if you beat the he rug outside and vacuumed it. I returned bc rug was too large, but I did so regrettably bc it was a very pretty color and pattern.

Incredible deal,,,was living in fear that the boys in the house would think it was too rough. They love it, especially my husband. recommended this to a friend who called me after delivery and was so excited about it...

Great rug!

I had found a similar rug in a high end catalog that was smaller and still $100 more. I am very happy with this rug. It looks great in our sun room. I was afraid it would be rough on our feet, but it is actually really nice. Very well made. The crease down the middle is already almost gone and I've only had 1 month or so. Great bargin compared to other stores/catalogs and looks like you paid the bigger price tag...but didn't!
