The rug is exactly what is described. It looks just like the photo. It is not extremely rough on the feet. I am going to use it in the guest room. Initially, I bought it for my covered porch, but the light color blended into the surrounding too much. I think it will be a very nice addition to the guest room. Colors are very neutral and will go with almost anything.
