I'm an interior designer and usually rugs of this quality are at least several hundred dollars. This rug is super soft and very beautiful. And fast shipping, as usual!

Unfortunately at one point something happened to the rug and it arrived wet on one side and damp on the other side resulting in a mold smell. I urgently needed the rug for a show and did not have the time to return it, so I had to sun dry and mold treat it as good as I could. Based on the mold smell, I think the wet and dampness has happened before the rug was shipped. There should be a better quality control on the shipped out products.

Love the warm, varied, natural tones and the chunky weave of this rug. Great price for the size and quality. A little bit of unraveling along the edge so far after two days with our two dogs and two cats. I think describing the rug as "soft" is misleading. The texture is rough, but it feels good underfoot.

I really like this rug. We've had it for a few months now and it looks just as it did when we bought it. It's not in a super high traffic area, but I do think it will hold up well. I remember it having a slight dirt smell when we received it, but it really wasn't a big deal. (It is made from natural fibers...it's nothing like a strong chemical smell that a lot of items these days have.) It went away very soon after we received it. I tried vacuuming it once and one of the threads came lose, but I easily tucked it back in and it wasn't a big deal. (I just won't be vacuuming it again, just vacuum underneath and shake it outside as necessary). It's a great price, especially compared to some of the local furniture stores. We use it in our relaxed beach cottage living room and it's a great fit. We're considering purchasing another one for our dining room. It has nice mix of natural colors. It's comfortable on foot. Definitely not squishy, but doesn't hurt either. And my young kids don't complain of a scratchy or pokey rug.

We had wanted an area rug for our new sunroom and had not decided on any particular one. When I saw this jute rug on Overstock.com I thought that I had found just what we wanted and need. I was right! It is ust the right size and immediately laid flat on the floor with not adjustments necessary. My husband and I both like it very much and know that it will fulfill our needs for years to come.

I love the color and feel of this rug, but it's already coming frayed and unraveled in spots and underneath is an incredible amount of dust/grime from the rug. I don't have a rug pad under it; not sure if that would help with the grime. It's almost like it's disentigrating. It's definitely not the quality that you'd get from, say, West Elm, but it's the look for a lot less.

As stated, this is my first time going with a natural, non-wool, product. Others seem to love the product but I find it hard to keep on top of. You shake things through the rug in order to vacuum it and it really does dust things. Still. I've had it for months now. I like the look but I'd probably go with a tighter weave, bound, next time.

Although I love the way this rug looks, very rustic and natural, when you lift it up, there's a sandy-dusty type stuff that sheds from it. I've had it for over 6 months, and it still does it, despite the occasional shaking out. It gets lots of traffic, so you'd think it would eventually stop or at least get better, but instead it get all over the room. You can probably find a rug that looks just like it and doesn't do this.

I used this in my LR for staging purposes for my home sale and it looked wonderful with the grey/blue decor in the room. It's a great rug for a great price and has held up well over the past year. However, it is quite thick, so if you have little ones, they might trip over it, so just keep that in mind.

At first glance the rug looked great! However, I noticed a fine grit (dirt) on the floor where I unrolled the rug. I thought it must gotten dirty or something during shipping. It never went away. I tried vacuuming the rug, but that pulled pieces loose. I was able to tuck the pieces back in, but I could not live with the dirt from the rug. You would not believe how much I would sweep from under it. My rug pad was very dirty as well. After trying for a few weeks, this rug now resides on my screened-in porch. I believe another customer had the same problem. Very disappointed.

I was looking for a beach rustic look to my tv room, and this rug gave the feel that I was looking for it!

Site description and reviews were helpful and accurate. It is a very loose weave that snags easily. I will be returning it though because the size does not work for my entry way. My intention/purpose for the rug was to catch dirt before tracking it onto my very darkwood floors. it is thick and definately would hold onto dirt and debris and at tht price I could think of it as disposable, if I got a year out of it that would be O.K. with me. If it came in a 4x6 I would probably keep it.

This rug is under my dining room table. It seemed a little damp when I first got it (as others have mentioned) but it dried out in a day. You will definitely need a non-slip pad underneath if you don't have furniture sitting on it. The jute is fabulous and adds quite a different texture to the area.

I was so pleased with this rug..may get another one soon. The texture and material are great and give real character to my living area. Great price.

I was a little worried when I read some of the reviews about fraying and dirt, but that has been minimal and I've had the rug now for 4 months and I really like it. It's much better priced than the **** and comparable alternatives (I've had those rugs too in the past). This rug doesn't have a cotton border, so you have to straighten it when you first lay it down, but if you have furniture over it, that holds it in place and you will never know that it's not a more expensive version.

Really pretty rug, good size. I didn't notice any smell to speak of as other reviewers did. Unfortunately, it actually came unraveled in 7 or 8 places after the first time it was vacuumed. It was in a low traffic area in the bedroom. I was really disappointed. Overstock.com sent me a return label, but it was very time consuming to try to find packaging to return it in, and I had to pay UPS $XX for a pickup charge, since we have no UPS store in the area.

I was excited to receive this rug as we live in the country and thought a perfect addition. I was completely wrong. The dirt contained in the rug is what really bothers me. As said earlier, I have vacuumed, vacuumed, and vacummed some more (and washed the rug with a pressure washer) ... still.... silt/sand keeps coming out of the rug. Purchased in June; now September, 2011!!

I am so happy with this Jute rug!!! I highly reccomend it! I wish I would have purchased the larger one for my living room. It is not coarse under foot. It is actually pretty soft. The weave is really nice! I love, love this rug. There was minimal shedding..it was a bit damp as others have reviewed but it was not a problem at all. I have three small children around the dinner table with lots of crumbs...after a meal you can't see a thing. There are some pulls and knots that have come apart or have pulled threw but it hasn't bothered me. No one else would notice it but me. The rug was $$$!!!
