When I put this down in the kitchen, it really made the room look like a decorator had left her mark. I was afraid it would be uncomfortable on the feet, but actually it feels nice. No smell. I've been buying many sisal and jute rugs lately through Overstock and ****** - and have read many reviews. My success has been mainly with jute rugs. The ones I have purchased have a beautiful combination of natural colors and are more durable than the sisal rugs. VERY PLEASED with this purchase.

Very unusual and different carpet. The problem was my dog; he would have chewed it apart before the day's end. I think anyone with a pet, might share this problem. Cats would definitely catch their claws on it. If you have a pet-free home, give it a shot because it definitely is a very cool accessory for a room!
