very coarse, had to send it back
this rug was priced well, but the fiber the wool is woven into smells like hay and is very scratchy. the rug was not soft, sent it back because it wasn't comfortable to walk or sit on. it was strictly a texture/tactile issue i had with the rug i completely liked the appearance. ended up paying about XX dollars to return it, wish i hadn't bought a rug online at all.

Great rug.
Not going to find a better rug for the money. Rich, vibrant colors; everybody asks about it. Rough and very flat, but not the least bit uncomfortable to walk on; mine's in my bedroom.
