Hand-woven Jute Natural Rug (8' x 10'6)

A pretty rug. Has the Pottery Barn look, but maybe not so much on quality with it's easy ability to come get delooped? When making a pass with the vaccum. Comes with quite a bit of dirt :), but that I expected since I have another similar rug from Ikea. Overall, I love the look and love it's ability to hide stains under my dining table. Good rug.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? color seems much more grey, but works just fine in my space
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. quality is average. When I go over it with a vaccum it pulls at some of the loops, so then I have to trim them.

I was happily surprised to find this rug available again on overstock. I love it! I bought my first one about 5 years ago, but my cat eventually destroyed it (...by urinating on it...totally behavioral, had nothing to do with the rug). In fact, initially, I just, litterally, hosed the area off, poured on a "pet stain cleaner", and let it dry (of course, off the wood floor) with no discoloration or shrinkage and there was little evidence that anything happened at all. It's very durable and easy to clean. It's not a soft fluffy rug (but you knew that already), but I love the feel of it under my feet, as do my dogs. It's probably about 3/8". The natural color and feel of it looks perfect in my "beach" house! The only slightly negative thing is that it did have a couple minor pulls in it when I received it - easily taken care of by looping the material to the rug's underside.

Like other reviewers, I am happy with this purchase. Rug arrived rolled up, and flattened out quite well on its own after a short time. One corner gets high traffic in my home, and it was problematic at first, as people caught their toe on it and it persistently curled up. I kept a heavy jar on it for awhile to keep it pinned down. After a couple of weeks though, it settled down on its own and stays nicely flat and no more problems. Perhaps the wetter weather (Portlandia) and moisture in the air lately has also helped it to relax. The color and texture are great. Natural rugs always have some "imperfections" that gives them character, so don't expect perfection. This rug looks great and just what I wanted. No persistent smells or anything.. I wish it came in a 9x12 and I would order one for my living room for a summer look.

This is an exceptional value. I received my rug in less than a week and was very impressed with the quality. I've had jute rugs before but never seen the stiching that this one has at the end of the rug, just before the tassels. I expect this will keep it from coming apart over time, which is what happened to my old rug (granted it was about 10 years old!). Once again, I appreciate Overstock!
