I purchased this rug expecting just a full shag rug. What a surprise it was. I love the feel under my feet. I use my Kirby to vacuum it and think it comes out great. It is unusual and everyone loves it!

The rug is unique in its kind, especially used on carpet. Its thick, and it does not cause wrinkle under furniture. The only drawback is that it is difficult to vacuum because of its thickness. Overall, it is a good purchase.

this rug is amazing. so beautiful. the dark brown rug is made up of thick wool shag. each of the strands are different colors--dark chocolate brown, gray, bluish color, caramel color. the colors make for a very dark earthy tone with overall uniformly brown appearance. feels wonderful on your feet. very plush. shipped in about a week via regular fed ex without problems. size ended up being 8 feet 8 inches X 13 feet 3 inches--pretty true to size. im not sure how to clean this rug-- the shag is too long to vaccum as the stands get stuck in the bristled vacuum cleaner and the wool will probably "frizz" if this method of cleaning is used. spot cleaning along with professional cleaning couple times a year maybe the best option. This is the ONLY issue with this rug---how to keep it clean without causing premature wear and tear. Otherwise this rug is AWESOME and well worth the cost.

I inadvertantly ordered the red and beige carpet, but wanted the green. However, upon arrival I must say it is the best mistake I ever made. The rug is of excellent quality and is not red at all. It has very earth tone colors that are very rich and welcoming. It looks great against wood floors. The price was great. I just got a sales magazine in from a upper class retailer who is offering a New Zealand 100% rug that is 8 x 10 for $1094. Can't beat the price or quality. I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. My hubby and puppy both love it as well. :o)

We debated getting a very similar rug from a major retailer, but 1) they didn't carry it in this large size, which is really what we wanted (2) it was AMAZING how much cheaper it was ordering from Overstock...not just the price..but tax and shipping we figure we saved over $600Still dealing with shedding...BUT per someone elses tip, using the bare floor setting on your vaccuum (so no brush) works wonders on getting up excess. Its no worse than a St. Bernhard :)

im very please with the service from overstock, my rug came really fast; less than a week. The rug appeared so much more expensive than it was. i ordered the dark brown, it was such a unique color, very earth tony. and so thick!

The color of the red/beige is not red, it is rust. There is enough variety in the tones so that it is effectively nuetral and it did work for me even though the color was not as stated. It is a very nice rug, soft and thick. Not a typical shag rug.

We got the brown colored rug for our dining room and love the appearance and quality of the rug. We shopped around quite a bit both online and in stores. This was by far the best value for the money. The rug is VERY PLUSH and the earth tone color combinations really make the rug stand out.
