Hand-woven Chapra Bleached Natural Fiber Jute Rug (8' x 11')

I just received the rug today and i love it! I was worried about getting another jute rug because the ones i have had in the past are not very comfy on your feet and we have never really been able to walk or especially sit comfortably on them and ended up getting rid of them. I was surprised how soft this one is. I love all the little "knubs" in the rug and adds lot of natural texture to my family room. I was a little worried about the color because my monitor shows this rug as really gray with a lot of brown in it - i like jute rugs for their natural color and was worried about getting one that was too gray (i ordered the bleached one because i didnt want one that was too golden so i thought this would be a good compromise), but the actual color is a nice soft natural color, a lot less gold than other jute rugs, its a very toned down muted jute. I am very happy with the color. And i didnt notice any smell like other reviewers have reported. I also love that it has a finished end, it looks like it will hold its shape well, i dont think i will get a rug pad but i may get some of the rug stickers just to keep the corners in place. So far i am very happy with this rug and i think i will order another one for my dining room!

I love this rug! It looks great in my dining room. It has a chunky hand woven look. It's not soft so I wouldn't use it in an area that would would sit on a lot. I'm not sure how I'm going to clean it... I only had it one day and the dog puked on it! I used some spray carpet cleaner and had to blot it a lot but it pretty much came out. You can't vacuum it or the fabric will come loose so I've been sweeping it. It also slips so I am going to need to get something to put under it. Other than that it is perfect! I am really happy with it :)

This rug was the same color as in the picture, and it arrived very quickly from Overstock, plus a great price. BUT, I am returning it because the texture of the jut rug is "loopy", and I prefer more of a flat weave rug, so that things (i.e. food, small legos, etc) do not get stuck in it, or get snagged in a vacuum. The loop texture does make it softer underfoot though, so maybe if you want something like it for a bedroom, it may work for you.

This rug was a steal and I like it as I think it will do an excellent job of hiding stains with four kids and another one on the way. I have it under my espresso king size bed and it looks great and provides enough contrast to my oak wood floors
