Made in India and carrying a label that no child labor was used in the making of the rug, it's about a 1/4 inch thick and the individual coils are tightly hand stitched together. It has no tears or tufts after a month in a home with a cat.

I was going to send it back because it looked like a scratch pad for my cats. I order the UPS return label but did not return it immediatley. After looking at it for awhile I took it home and it works beautifully for my living room. I put extra cat nip on the cats scratch pad and hoping for the best!

I LOVe this rug! I had been waiting to purchase a neutral, but cheerful colored natural rug for my living room and couldn't be happier. It looks beautiful. Slightly golden which matches everything, and much softer than I expected to walk on. I think it will be easy to clean. It arrived very quickly!

I love this rug! I've never had a jute rug before, so wasn't sure what to expect. I seen them in other people's houses that are very scratchy. This rug is soft. I walk on it in bare feet every day. I sit on it. I would even put a baby on it. The rug could not be better. I've only had it a week, but so far -- perfect!

I was looking for a good quality jute rug but didn't want to pay Pottery Barn prices (plus they don't really have what I want right now). This rug looks as good as my Pottery Barn and seems durable. I haven't had it very long so hopefully it continues to look good. I bought another one for my living room. Great buy!

I am so glad I got this rug rather than the one from Pottery Barn. The only difference is on this one you can see the stitching a little more but he stitching is the same color as the rug so it blends in just fine, definitely not worth paying and extra $100 at the other place.

Thoroughly impressed, every bit as nice as rug we own. Laid flat after a few days and 3 months later, looks unchanged after moderate use. The feel on bare skin is way softer than you'd ever expect. I think even appropriate for a household with kids. This was an unexpected bonus! Highly recommend, will probably buy larger size for living room. Great piece!

This 6X9 Jute rug is great. I had always had a sisal rug in my den, but decided to go with this jute one instead. I am glad that I did. It is much softer than sisal and thicker....feels good under the feet and my dogs love it! It is a casual feeling rug and would be fabulous under a dining room table, in a den, or in a bedroom.

I really love the look of this rug. One drawback, it is Not as Soft as everyone says. I really like to go barefooted and it bothers my feet. I just hope that it will wear down over time and become softer. My great room is very large and I have two seating areas. So, I ordered two rugs the same size and the same color. I love the color, or colors, it blends with all my furniture. It really adds a lot of texture to the space, which it needed. We live in the country, but my house is more traditional with mixed antiques. It looks great with everything.

I guess I changed my mind once it arrived. I've had this for about 2 years now. The rug is exactly as it was described but wear and tear has done a number on it. It started splitting after about a year or so.

The color of the jute rug is actually a bit darker than in the picture but that could be individual since it's a natural fiber and product. The next rug could turn out lighter. I actually like the darker color better, has a very natural look. Quite soft for a jute rug. Can't really say much since a jute rug is not a high end designer super quality rug that I would expect to last a life time in a high traffic area. But it has a very, very "natural" look to it so it wouldn't fit with your antiques or very classy furniture. It's the right fit for a beach house or basic country style room. Let's see how it holds up to one human who tends to spill everything and two healthy felines. I know, wishful thinking...

These are great rugs for the money. I was looking at some of the woven **** rugs, but they were so much more expensive. This was my first purchase from Overstock, and I was so pleased with these rugs! They are so much softer than I thought they'd be, and they are actually quite nice to walk on in bare feet. We've had them a couple of months now, and they've held up well so far. We'll see how they do after our summer guests have left us (these are in a beach house in Cape Cod). The only reason I gave them four stars was because they were a bit darker than pictured, with a bit more grey and a slightly more weathered appearence. However, they are close enough to the photo that they work quite well for us. I would definitely recommend these rugs to anyone thinking of purchasing them.

Rug is great and was what my wife and i were looking for. Our cat is very attracted to the rug as its very similar to rope on a cat tree; however this Jute Rug is not as durable. Shortly after a couple weeks, we have already began seeing worn spots and some tears from the cat. With that being said, it is a great rug and is very soft on your feet. The color was exactly as described so it goes great with our room.
