Great rug, unexpected color.
We have hardwood throughout and wanted somewhere soft for our baby to learn to crawl. We also wanted it before guests arrive for Thanksgiving. We received this rug two days ago and love the way it feels underfoot. The baby keeps pulling up tons of carpet fiber, but hopefully it will stop shedding soon. I ordered this rug knowing it was off-white and after reading many comments here about the creamy color, I thought this would be perfect. We have a bright white sofa and club chair with cream walls and accents (pillows, throws). Basically, everything in our living room is either cream or white. I don't see any cream in this rug. It's silvery white (grayish undertones), in my opinion and doesn't really work in our space. Needless to say, I'm a little disappointed. I checked the return policy, hoping I could send it back, but it's non-returnable. I should have checked beforehand, but was rushing to get a million things accomplished, one of which was ordering a rug before the holidays. I guess I'll be buying some silvery white accents to tie in with this rug. All-in-all, it's a great rug and unless you have solid white furniture, you might not even notice how off-white it really is.

great buy! great find!
At first I was worried when I opened the package...it looked sparse and I could see through to the backing. But then when I laid it out on the floor and ruffled the fibers a bit, everything came together and the rug looks awesome. I'm very happy with this purchase. I was looking for a certain style of shag where its not too shaggy and unruly, but not too short either. This one fits the bill. It makes the space infinitely more modern and "put together".

shag rug
The rug is nice and dense. The color is a little grayed, not really white. The most disappointing aspect is the shedding. It has been down over a year in a guest bedroom and every time you leave the room, some of the carpet goes with you. I expected some shedding, but it has not gotten better.

Love this. It does need shaking out a bit in order to raise the pile which is flattened during transit. Great value for money.

The rugs quality was ok it was the correct size, although i am returning it due to a color mismatch. I will always shop at overstock.com. I have never had any issues. My orders are always on time & the quality of the products is always great. As i said before, i am only returning the rug because it does not match my home decor.

Nicer than I expected
I couldn't find an area rug that was 5 feet long for my bath, so I bought the 5 X 8 rug and had it cut and bound into several rugs. My rug is for an infrequently used bathroom so I won't need to replace the rugs frequently, but it's nice to have on hand in case someone spills red wine on it. The shag is composed of thicker and thinner pieces of fabric and is very attractive and full looking. I haven't experienced a lot of shedding, but, again, the rug is in a lightly-used room.

Good rug! Great value!
Its a great little rug, great value, and while it sheds quite a bit, its not enough to be a nuissance. The rug is very comfy to walk over and is perfect in my bedroom!
