this rug is a Chandra, from the Ambiance collection. i found it on at least 3 other sites on SALE for over $1500+. It is so beautiful and soft and thick. i can't believe the price on Overstock, what a deal!!! Yes, it "sheds" but anyone with any wool rug knows this is supposed to happen and it stops after a few months. wool is superior over synthetics despite this minor inconvenience. just do a little research. :)

After looking for months and months for the right rug, we decided on this one and could not be happier! The pile is dense and quite possibly the softest I have ever felt - even when compared to those twice the price. It is like walking on cotton balls! People literally chose to sit on our floor and can't stop touching it. The variation in the thickness of strands gives it a nice texture and more interest than other of the thick pile shag rugs you see. It definitely sheds but this is totally normal for a natural fiber rug. I expected it and was just prepared to vacuum it a lot.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The color pictured as "white" is pretty close. It's a light ivory color.

I bought this rug in the white color and it is really soft and very thick but it shed like crazy! I had it in my livingroom and had to transfer it into my daughter's bedroom because there was less foot traffic there. Also the white color is definitely more of a light bone shade.
