The rug is amazing. Looks exactly like picture. Four important notes 1) You must use with a rug pad. Get the Durable rug pad sold on Overstock - it's the best one and made by Safaveih 2) All long-haired rugs shed. This rug is not low maintenance. It's about a look. If you have OCD don't buy it. You will need to vacuum often 3) This is not a rug for major foot traffic. A bedroom. Home office, Yes. 4) This is a great price for a 9 x 12 flokati.

If you are expecting a heavy wool rug, this is not your pick. This rug is lite and fluffy like a blanket. Flokati rugs are washable, although I am not sure my machine would fit this rug. Yes, it does shed and is a lot of upkeep but, it is the perfect rug for my living room. Soft to your feet the shag is more like long fur! You can not vacuum it with a beater brush, it will be eaten up. This rug has gotten compliments since the day it arrived. I love it!

I was worried that the rug wouldn't be plush enough but am very satisfied. Almost ruined it and did bust my vacuum by having the beater brush going. Now I vacuum it using hardwood floors setting and it works well. I haven't tried using a wire dog brush yet but read that works too!

Love the rug looks great against the wood floor. The one down side is that the shag is real long not sure how to vaccum it. Great rug for the price.

Another review of this rug as light and fluffy is a good description. It is almost like a big fluffy blanket. To me it almost looks like snow, or a big fluffy cloud. Prior to purchasing the rug I was afraid that it would look like a huge piece of matted fur on the floor - but it definitely does not. I was also worried that the larger (9x12) size might just magnify this, but it doesn't. It just looks awesome. The rug is also very soft and comfortable. I think Overstock has in particular a fantastic selection of rugs, at outstanding prices. I definitely recommend this rug.
