Very pleased with this purchase. The rug is very high quality and much thicker than anticipated. Will not need a rug pad underneath. Colors and pattern compliment and tie in all the various antique wood furniture and wood floors in the room. Will be ordering the larger size to go with this smaller one for our elongated room! Ordered on Monday and received on Thursday!
We purchased this rug based on reviews and its subtler coloration, which was desirable for the eclectic room we intended to use it in. I did not, however, expect it to be so fine a rug, with a wonderful finish and feel. I love walking on it barefoot, and I don't think I've ever been this close to a rug as sensual and attractive as this one. We also liked the fact that the pattern was a little different than a traditional rug, but still suggestive of one. The colors almost have a tea-washed appearance, but with rich undertones. The overall color is a light olive-gold, but there is a warmth to the dark red border and the sage green is distinct enough that it could be picked up by brighter colors in a room. We also like that it has a true black, but it is not overpowering at all. This would seem to be a rug that you could play up or play down as you wish-truly a versatile piece to add to a room. We just love it.
I selected this rug for it's thickness, wool pile, tribal pattern and earth tones. It met all my expectations and it compliments my bamboo floors and wood furniture pieces. It has many colors but does not dominate the room by visually screaming at you. The versatility and quality of the rug mean it will be around for years. Also, I have found no shedding issues with the rug and have vaccumed it 4 or 5 times in the last 2 weeks.
This is a lovely rug. The red is much more of a burgundy but all the colors compliment each other nicely. It definitely pays to read the reviews on O's rugs - I have bought several and have only had to return one rug due to lack of reviews and the colors were not as advertised. Live and learn. I would highly recommend this rug if you like an old world feel. It complements a hardwood floor very well. Just know that it will shed quite a bit in the beginning. This has been true of every wool rug I have purchased from Overstock. You just can't beat the price!

I like the color and pattern of the rug a lot. But the wool sheds when you rub hard (A rug dealer told me this how to tell quality of wool). It's pity this can not be tested when ordering on-line. Also the size is a bit smaller than it's described. But overall, it's a nice rug for the price I paid for.
