Moving into a new home... purchased new dining room furniture for a long rectangular dining room. I knew an 8x11 would fit perfectly... so the search began. I knew the moment I laid eyes on this rug that it was what I wanted. The rich saturated colors and the modern floral design.. I just knew! (And on top of that coming across a sale that dropped the price a smidge was even better!) It was exactly what I was looking for! It just enhances our clean lined wood dining room furniture. Completes the look. (Need to find a rectangular pendant light next!) ONLY CAVEAT: This rug is wool. Wool rugs shed for a time once their laid down. It is COMMON that wool rugs shed. It releases the surface wool when friction is applied. Please do your research. This is common behavior for a wool rug. :) Nothing to worry about.. just gotta know what to expect and how to minimize shedding.

This rug is absolutely gorgeous. It feels very well made, the carpet is thick and plush, and it's soft! The colours are beautiful and look very much like Overstock's photo. They aren't too bright to be cartoonish, but they still stand out. The brown is a true chocolate, so if you're worried about it having a yellow tint, don't be....it doesn't. I love my rug!

This rug has shed all over my house. The vacuum seems to make it worse. This rug is going back unfortunately. It is very pretty...

This area rug is really nice. The colors are not as vibrant as in the photo. It looks beautiful in my living room with a camel colored sofa, I bought one for my dining room too. The only drawback is that it needs to be vacuumed frequently because of the dark color, it shows everything.

Just got the rug today so too soon to judge how it wears but it is very nice, true to size, nice dense pile. Colors seem a little muted as to compared to what was on site, but fine. Price on overstock was WAY lower than the same rug on another site.

after reading the other reviews, i went ahead and purchased the rug. so glad i did. i just received it today and its already down on the floor. it looks great, especially since ive repainted my living room. i now wish i had gotten the next size up. i didn't realize my previous rug was the 9X13 size. looking at the numbers you think it wouldn't really be that much difference but it really is. oh well, im very happy with the color and style!

We LOVE this rug. It is soft and comfortable, and so beautiful. There are so many colors in the rug, but they blend well together. From lightest to darkest, the colors are Ivory/Oyster, Ice Blue, Dull Gold, Light Olive, Rust/Clay, Brick Red, Merlot and Espresso. The background is more Espresso than the Chocolate in the title, it is a very cool dark brown. The colors are very rich, not dull or muted, and blend excellently with just about any decor color. For instance, the light olive picks up the taupe in my chairs, and also the olive in my couch. The design elements do not have crisp, precise lines, but a looser, more casual feel. In this digital age, I would almost call the edges pixelated. The picture and description are accurate, but don't do the rug justice. It really adds so much color and warmth to the room. I'm vacuuming twice a day, and after three days have noticed a reduction in shedding: two-thirds of a canister a day instead of a full canister. The shedding does not seem excessive to me; it's normal in a wool rug. I recommend this rug; I'll update my review if it doesn't wear well, but I'm very happy with it so far!

This is a great rug. It was exactly what our living room needed. There is a bit of shedding, but it's wool and is getting better. The brown color is not chocolate, more of a grey. However, it still works for us.

I love the rug, but I would describe the backround as dark espresso not chocolare brown. The rug was much darker than I had anticipated so it makes my throw pillows that are more of a chocolate brown look lighter. I agree with a previous reviewer who said that the colors do not look cartoonish, they are vibrant, but in a muted non-obnoxious way, especially considering that their backround color is so dark. I looked up the rug brand and found that most of their rugs this size are over $1000.00, so I would say that a wool rug this size for a little over $$$ bucks is a great deal! When I told my mom about the rug she couldn't believe the price for the material and the size (and she knows her rugs). But beware, the rug sheds ALOT! Be ready with vacuum cleaner in hand. Also you will see little threading imperfections in the dark areas. Overall nice rug, with lots of compliments.

I just love this rug. We bought it for our bedroom that is decorated with chocolate brown, ivory, tan and cranberry colors. I hesitated on this rug because of the "lime" and "pale blue" in the description. Pale blue maybe, the green is definitely not lime! I'm so happy with our decision to go ahead with it. It's just perfect! It looks so rich and I love the pattern. It is a dark rug, so you may be vacuuming more frequently if it bothers you but I knew that before ordering. No complaints here.

After shopping for months for a new rug, I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it on the website. After I ordered it, I began to worry that colors may be too bright for my living room. When it came in only a few days after I ordered it, it worked perfect in my home! The colors were soft yet still have the perfect amount of contrast! It made all the difference in the world on the look of my home! The only downfall is that it is made of wool, and it seemed to shed alot at first, but it has gotten much better after only a month and vaccuming it several times! It's excellent quality and I would recommend it to anyone searching for the perfect rug!

This gorgeous rug exceeded my expectations- plush, beautiful colors, well-made by respected carpet maker. Purchasing this rug at full retail would have cost us over three times as much as the price on Overstock, not to mention expensive shipping and handling charges. With allergies in our home, we were nervous about the way the wool might affect us. Frequent daily vacuuming within the first week or so of having the rug down took care of excess shedding. All in all, very pleased with our purchase- we expect this rug to withstand the pressures of 5 kids for many years to come!
