Thank you. Your feedback will help us create the best experience for our customers.
This rug is lovely. It is a thick wool and although it has shed quite a bit at first, it will last for years. The color is not what I would call ivory but instead a light beige/tan mix. It's worked perfectly in my space and I think Overstock is the the best place to find a quality rug at a great price. We looked at other websites before buying this and saw this exact same rug on a competitor's site for more than twice the Overstock price. Great buy!
What a welcome surprise. It is always chancy to order an area rug on line. We have experienced severe disappointment with another site before where the product was nothing like described. This rug was perfect for our application. Very nice and thick. Warm and the colors are perfect for our room. The only slight complaint is that it sheds quite a bit in the early stages. Regular vacumning will be required if the lint is a contrasting color to the area around it. We are super pleased with this purchase.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? It matches perfectly
Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality is outstanding
How accurate was the on site description of the product? The description was very accurate
Very happy with this rug. IT pulls in the colors of our room nicely. The price was right -- $100 cheaper than the same rug from ***. Actually, we bought the *** rug first, not knowing about this one. It arrived and was not in super shape and had a stain. Back it went. This rug was kept in much better care in the warehouse. If someone had used it before and returned it, you'd never know. The thickness of the rug is fine - i,e. If you dig your fingers into it you can't feel the bottom pad.

Please tell us about the quality of the product. Three weeks later it is still shedding a lot. But I imagine that will stop some day.

I would not consider the background color to be ivory. It is tan, however, the rug is beautiful and a great quality. I actually prefer that it is a darker color than I thought it would be because it will hide dirt better.
Nice rug and the colors are right for our space. That being said it is not ivory, it's more a beige to light tan. There were some imperfections in some of the colors with other colors bleeding over into them. But that was a miner issue and not easily seen. I have other large wool rugs and this is the least plush of them all. It's not a think pile by any means. I wish it felt more cushion-y. My hubby really likes it and it works for our room so we'll go with it.
I have had this rug for about 3 years now. It still sheds. I was dissapointed from day 1 with the pile thickness/height. It's a very low-nap or low pile type of rug. It's kind of stiff and scratchy (compared to what I'm used to for a wool rug). Mine had chunks of white chalk or caulk in it. I think it was over-run sizing for the backing... I cut out those chunks. It was amazingly dirty... It was kind of dark when I got it... I cleaned it with a mild soap/water combo using a professional carpet cleaner... and wow, it looked a LOT better.. and more like the ivory advertised. Softer too. :) So, if you think yours is more of a dark beige, that's probably just sweatshop dirt and oil.
The design is kind of clunky, there are mistakes in the art.. The stems of the branches are on top of the leaves in places.. It's just weird looking. It's the kind of rug that looks OK at a glance. Great for staging or photos of a place... but not for living with it... not for me anyway. I don't get the rave reviews for it. It's a kind of thin, sheddy cheap wool rug with mediocre design execution.
I bought an 11x14 so I wasn't about to go through trying to return this rug. It was in the hundreds to ship it back since I would've had to do freight.
Thus rug looks great! However, there are two major problems:
1) Shedding. If you kneel on this rug in dark pants, the knees immediately look gray from all the wool that sticks to them. I vaccuum this rug once or twice a week and this hasn't changed, so if you are considering it for a living area, I would advise against it. We have it in our dining room so it's not a huge problem since we don't typically sit on the floor in there.
2) White powder. I have never experienced such a thing before, but I noticed that every time I flip up the rug, there are little piles of white powder underneath. This made no sense, as I cleaned and mopped the floor prior to laying it down and there isn't any of this substance anywhere else in my house. However, looking on the internet, it seems like happens sometimes with wool rugs due to one of two things: either deteriorating glue on the latex back, or a marble powder used intentionally during the manufacturing process to stiffen the latex. If it's really the glue deteriorating, this is concerning since the rug is quite new and already producing piles of it. But it doesn't appear that the back is coming off or anything, so I am assuming it's the latter. Still a pain if you are obsessive about cleaning like I am - but if you never look under your rug, it may not bother you.
This is an awful rug. Do no buy it. The colors do not match the picture. It is made of very coarse, inferior grade wool. It is very rough and scratchy. The rug started shedding and loosing fibers as soon as it was unwrapped. It looked so cheap. Also, for the small size, was not worth the money. We were very disappointed in this rug. But we were more disappointed with the return policy and the fact that we had to pay the return postage. Also we were not told this when we printed the return label. We did not get a full refund and are very disappointed.
This rug is high quality and turned out to be exactly what I wanted. Delivery was prompt and it was in excellent shape. Overall, a very positive experience. The pictures looked like the background had some pink tones to it, but the actual rug didn't, which is good because I didn't want that.
Is there anything I can do about the piles of white powder that constantly appear underneath this rug? It is definitely not dirt - I steam mopped the wood floor prior to putting the rug down and I only find it under the rug - plus it's in a low traffic area and we don't wear shoes in the house. Internet says it could be due to deteriorating glue on the latex back or a marble powder used in the manufacturing process.eec9307 on Jan 31, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question

hi i have read all reviews and everyone says the color is more like tan than ivory, but nobody says anything about the blue color. looking at the picture the blue accent color in the rug looks to have a slight greenish tone in it? in your opinion is it more like a seafome, light teal, ect. then a true pale blue color??? the space i would like to use this rug in the color pallet is tans, browns, with blueish green accents.clbryant on Aug 20, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
