I bought this rug for my daughter's bedroom based on the other mostly positive reviews. We were very pleased when we first got the rug. I did notice a chemical odor but figured it would dissipate over time. Unfortunately, after 3 weeks, the smell still hadn't gone away. It was especially noticeable with the bedroom door closed. It got so bad that despite the chilly evenings, we had to leave our daughter's window open at night while simultaneously keeping a space heater on just to make sure her room was being ventilated. I found a thread on apartmenttherapy that talks about the smell being caused by either pesticides sprayed into the wool or the adhesive used in the backing. Either way, the smell is permanent and I began worrying about my daughter's health from being exposed to this chemical smell every night. My husband even said that when he stayed in her bedroom too long (if he fell asleep while putting her to bed) he would wake up with irritation in his throat and sinuses. We returned this rug and in the future, we will probably make sure to purchase our rugs in person rather than online to make sure we don't run into this problem again.

put the blue rug in my childs room. Great rug, minimal shedding, no smell, nice greyish blue color, very thick and soft.

I like this rug. It's new so it still sheds a lot, but that wont happen forever - never does. I got the pink one for my 10 year old daughter's room. Looks just like one you can find in a very well known higher end (teen) furniture/home decor store. Just what I was looking for to match a crazy busy quilt she picked out, it needed to be one solid color. But with the border it's not boring at all - very high end looking.

I bought this for my son's room, for the money I opted for getting wool. I was concerned with the review that spoke of the chemical smell, but either ours did not have that issue, or our noses are not that sensitive. Overall, it is a really good buy for wool, hand tufted and large size. The texture in the center is relatively subtle, and the depth of the pile is comfortable to lie on without being so deep as to make it impossible to roll a chair on. Good buy!

i was looking for a rug for my twin daughers room for a long time to help brighten the room and make it more comfortable. this rug did both. i love the large size of it as well. i had read other reviews about the shedding which we are experiencing but it's gone down a bit over the past month. overall - highly recommend just be mindful of the shedding. great buy!

This rug was a very good purchase. It is plush and warm as well as being attractive. We bought it to warm up a room with cold floors and found this rug has met our expectations, as well as being attractive.

We have had two of these rugs for two years now. We still get compliments on them in the kids rooms. They do tend to show stains but you can't beat the price. Still does shed a bit.

I got this rug for a baby nursery, and I love it. The color is perfect, it's soft, and it has the look of an expensive rug. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that it sheds alot. However, I totally expected this because I read the reviews before buying this rug. Most new rugs will shed. I expect that it will stop shedding after a few more vacuums. Buy this rug!

This rug was much more than I expected in every way. Beautiful color (green), great quality for the price, and absolutely no odor or shedding as I read in previous reviews. And it was delivered in a day or two! It's perfect for my daughter's bedroom.

I really wanted the pink but they were sold out so I got the yellow knowing it could go with my daughters room decor. The yellow was more of a mustard/ brown color. I don't like the color but the rug is good quality I kept it regardless someday I will replace the rug and put it in a spare bedroom where it won't be so visible.

The rug is a nice wool rug for the price. I ordered the green rug and it is not as bright as the green pictured. It is a little more sage than lime. The texture of the rug is nice. The light colored band around the rug is not tuffed, but looped. The rug sheds a lot right now. It filled the vacuum canister the first time we vacuumed it. My children are covered in the fiber after playing on it. I am aware that most wool rugs shed for a period of time. Hopefully this one will stop soon. It did have an odor when it arrived, but after a few days the odor left. This rug xxxx the price on other websites, so overall I feel it is a good deal.

I recently purchased a Westport rug from Overstock. I was very pleased with the quality of this rug, it is thick and has a plushness to it.

This is a good rug for the price. Not top quality, but good. It’s a good thickness for my daughter’s room – we happily sit on it and play. The pink color is lovely – not too light or dark. I noticed no odor. It has shed A LOT of pink fuzz so far (in a few weeks). I can see little flaws in it here and there. But it is a good substantial rug for the price – we have the 8x10 and it’s nice for a girl’s room – a tasteful pink that could last for years.

I purchased this for my daughter's room. I did not notice any chemical odor. Nor have we had any problems with it shedding an unusual amount. I bought the largest size and love it. The price was fantastic and I think the quality is good. Not the kind of rug I'll leave to my grandchildren but that wasn't it's intent. By the time it wears out I'm sure we'll be sick of pink anyway. So, it's perfect. The only negative is you consider it one is the color is a little deeper than it looked on line. It stil goes perfectly well with all our girly pink and green it's just not quite the pink I thought but blends nicely. Great deal and rug.

The quality of this rug is ok, i bought the one in pink and is a nice pink (not too bright or pale) .. i ordered on a tuesday morning and recieved it the next day (wednesday) in the afternoon , i was in shock. It DOES NOT HAVE a chemical odor like the other reviwed stated You can not beat the prices on this webpage. Im overall pleased wirh my purchase but wish it was of better quality.

I ordered the yellow in the 8 x 10. I love the color and it's a quality rug. I just vacuumed it and it had a lot of fuzz. I hope it doesn't shed like that all the time. Otherwise than that, I love it.

The lime green color is a little bit darker than it looked on my screen but I am still very pleased with the quality and softness of the rug. Perfect for an infant's room. Ordered it yesterday and it came today via UPS! That wowed me. This rug is packed really well.
