This is a good quality rug, but it is definitely NOT black and white -- or even really black and cream. The stripes are a light yellow with black flecks. I ordered it to put in a spot with black and white decor, and it doesn't match. But, that said, it's a nice rug, and I'll keep it.
This rug is a shedding nightmare. I vacuum it everyday and still it continues to shed copious amounts of black and white fuzz. And as you can imagine, the black gets on the white and the white on the black. I like the style and design but would never have bought it because of this problem. I suppose it will stop one of these days (I've had a month) or the rug will be nothing but threads.
I was looking for a black and WHITE area rug, and this one didn't disappoint me. I knew if I didn't like it I could return it without a problem, so I placed the order. The rug arrived in a timely fashion, and looks beautiful with my new black and white decor. Being a wool rug, it does shed a great deal, and I don't know how long that will last as we don't travel that room a lot, but with that said I don't care as it is all about the look. ( I use a tape roller for quick touch ups instead of getting out the vacuum) Great feel, and has the thickness I was after and which you can't get with a nylon type rug. Price beat other websites and had the Overstock return policy behind it, so I knew it was a safe transaction.
