As other reviewers have said, the rug is lighter than the picture. I received it today and my only complaints are that it looks slightly cartoony, and more brown tones than I expected... but still a nice rug. Here are the many colors it contains, as I see them. Primary color - ivory/cream; Secondary colors - mustardy sand color, olive green, and beige; Highlight colors - brick red, dusty rose, burnt orange, very dark navy blue, sage greenish taupe, slate gray, light gray, and medium brown.
We love the rug. It is beautiful at a great price. We haven't had a problem with shedding because it is in a room that is not often used. What I don't understand is why, with all the reviews stating that the colors in the picture are nothing like the actual colors, doesn't Overstock change the picture! The true color background is off-white as so many people have stated in their reviews. I would recommend this rug to anyone as long as they are happy with the true color.
I have never ordered a rug online before and was very nervous about doing it but after reviewing what other people said about the rug and now after receiving it, I'm so glad I decided to try Overstock.com. I ordered the rug on a Friday and received it the following Wednesday. The rug is very thick and soft. It's a very beautiful rug and looks much more expensive than what I paid for it. The background color is a true ivory like other reviewers have said but that only makes the other colors look more rich and defined. The other colors are a true olive, gold, and burgundy with just a little bit of mauve in it but when you look at the rug as a whole, you don't even notice the mauve in it at all. I'm very happy with this purchase and am already looking at other rugs to buy for other rooms in my house. I definitely think you can't beat Overstock.com for this type of purchase.

Ths is a nicely made rug- very thick and comfortable. The colors are brighter than those shown in the web site picture. The background of the rug is closer to white than the tan color as it appears on the site. Very nice rug, but not what I would call muted colors. If you want a rug to be more neutral, look for another- this one stands out. It is beautiful, but you'll need to choose your furniture carefully.

This is a soft, pretty rug. It is NOT the color in the photo. The background is a light cream (NOT a white as one reviewer described it and not a medium beige as shown in the photo). The pattern is not as subtle as the photos, likely because the background is cream not beige. The rug is an amazing value, and while it is not a $3,000 rug, it would be at least $1200 in an average store- but a lot more in a finer rug store. I recommend this rug as it is very nice. It arrived in less than 48 hours! Nice job Overstock.com
