Hand-tufted Traditions Ivory Wool and Silk Rug (8' Round)

This rug was worth every penny. It measured exactly 8'. I relied on the proper color descriptions from other reviews and was not disappointed. It has a creamy white backdrop with warm colors (dark sage, light and dark browns, and accents of mauve, white, dark red, mustardy yellow, and dark blue). It's very thick (about an inch) and didn't seem to shed more than expected. I bought a delux pad but the rug is so thick and it doesn't slip because it's so heavy so it may not have been needed at all. However, I've been told that a pad will extend the life of the rug. It has a cotton backing. I ordered on a Monday and received it by Thursday. It was well packaged and protected. I ordered the runner too and I love them both!

Thanks to Overstock for great shipping, received via UPS. The packaging was very good, double bagged in heavy duty plastic. Beautiful 8' round rug, you will love this rug if you have medium to dark hardwood floor. The colors blends beautiful and its a little lighter that the picture that Overstock uses and its has more of a sage green than gold. Its a thick (close to 1") and soft rug so you won't need any pad, all you need is a non slip protector for the floor. I placed it in the breakfast nook and it really shows of the design and colors. The only bad side to this rug is the shedding....I CAN LIVE WITH THAT. The rug quality is great for the price from Overstock, ITS A MUST IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR 8' ROUND RUG.

This rug is very thick and very well made. The colors are light cream base and sage green leaves with some brownish red tones in it. I bought fabric spray to keep any stains from getting on it. I put this rug in my main living area and it looks great!!

I bought this rug to go under the round dining room table, but it was too beautiful to be hidden, so after much furniture rearranging, it went into the livingroom. The quality and workmanship in this rug for the price is wonderful. The rug is much lighter in color than the computer shows, but that and the silk feeling made it a better rug than expected. I would highly recommend this rug to anyone who likes a traditional look with a luxurious feel in their home.

This rug is beautiful. It is very traditional and looks great with my round table. It is very plush and feels great on your feet. The back round is a creamy off white. I was expecting very warm fall colors like gold¿s greens and rust colors. But they are more of mauve, light green, dark green, some pink and gold¿s. The photo does not show any white but many of the floral and leaves are outlined in white. And I mean a brilliant white, it¿s like it is highlighted. Maybe this is the silk portion. I actually love this unexpected touch as I have white wainscoting on the lower portion of my wall in the dining room. In the photo what looks to be a rust color is actually mauve. There is rust color in the rug but a very small amount. My upper wall color is a paprika shade. So the mauve and pink shades really disappointed me. I have grown to love the rug and added accessories to tie all the colors together. The quality is unbelievable for this price. To me, with my budget this is a lot to pay for a rug and it was a hard decision to make, but I do not regret my purchase. I hope maybe my description of the colors will help you to decide if this will work for you. Other than the colors, the rug is identical to the photo.
