This rug looked fantastic - at first. But by day's end, it had "shedded" so much that it required vacuuming in order to remove all the shedded fibers from any area of the rug that had been touch by human and pet feet. Over the course of three weeks - due to the enormous amount of shedding - we vacuumed the rug 9 or 10 times and this required 5 vacuum bags!!! because that is the amount of loose fiber that was generated by minimal to moderate use. Perhaps the rug is dry-rotted? I have never seen anything like it... again, it was really nice looking - but slowly it is disintegrating before our very eyes... and vacuum bags are not cheap. Unfortunately, what seemed to be a good deal has ended up being a loser.Very disappointed.

awful. i cannot believe the disconnect between the photo and description and actual product. looks like pieces of wall to wall carpeting sewn together. I am returning this ASAP

The reviews were definitely helpful, they are right it is lighter than pictured. So it's certainly is a leap of faith purchasing an 8x10 rug not knowing exactly how the color will read in my living room because returning would be a major hassle. When I first unrolled it I wasn't sure at first what I thought of it but I must admit it's really grown on me.I bought this rug specifically for my daughter to romp around in when she learns to walk in a few months and I am pleased with the cushy pile- the quality is certainly there- but unfortunately it sheds like crazy. I am told that this is typical of wool rugs but it should stop over time. I just hope it's before my baby starts crawling.

I absolutely love this rug - it is soft, colorful, architectural and a great introduction to my living room, complementing my high-end contemporary furniture! The colors are more mellow than the screen shows, which was the only adjustment to my expectations.

Nice rug, stunning colors with black leather furniture, but it sheds a lot more than other rugs I have bought. Nice and thick and very soft. Well worth the price.

I'm very happy overall with the rug and the price. My only complaint is that it is shedding fibers. Hopefully this will stop after a break-in period.

I just unrolled this 8X10 rug last night. It arrived quickly and wel packaged. It is beautiful, plush and extremely soft. It is true that the colors are slightly lighter than pictured. It is perfect for our house because I have colored walls. It just looks fantastic in a family room.

This rug arrived yesterday. The triple bag packaging was easy to remove. But after having my handyman unroll the carpet I noticed that the colors are much more subdued than what is pictured on the web site. Disappointing since I bought it to bring out the red hues of the room I intended to place it in. Because of the hassle and cost of return shipping, I'm keeping it. I had the rug moved to my son's play room where visual continuity isn't as much of a concern.

I read the reviews before buying this rug and should have listened more. The rug appears to have deeper richer colors on-line than in reality. It is very muted. Our rug has a lot of lavender, light gray, and pink tones right next to each other which is not shown in the photo on-line. We wanted to use it in our family room, but it is just too drab. We put it in our bedroom and it works really well in there. The rug itself is very plush and comfortable.

I am quite happy with this rug. I read all the reviews so I knew exactly what to expect in terms of the colors in the pattern and was not disappointed at all. Colors are more dark green, mauves, purples, blues, and maroon as people have stated. A very nice rug though and I've received many compliments. A great value I think.

I got what was advertised, the other reviews were right about the pink and lavender, but I like the rug nonetheless.

This rug is superb. Very plush and well made. A winner for the price. I have other wool rugs-Italian made- and this rug is just as good. I have it in my family room, my kids love the softness and the colors. Don't be shy-go for the color!! It will make your room pop!

I needed a rug with the colors that were pictured. I think these rugs were all seconds. I sent my first one back, and had them resend one and it was exactly the same. Lots of pinks and mauves.

After shopping around at various local stores for a large, wool area rug and finding nothing (of decent quality) for under $600.00, I decided to go with this rug. It seemed like a great price for a wool rug. I did read the reviews that said there were a lot more pinks and lavenders then the picture depicts, but that's ok with me because those colors would complement my living room. Anyways, the rug is beautiful. The colors ARE mostly pinks and lavenders, with some brick red, dark and light blue, orange, cream, and shades of green and brown included. The quality is outstanding. It's very soft on the feet. After looking at MANY rugs, this rug ranks up in the higher quality examples I was checking out. This is no cheap wool rug being passed off for an "outstanding" price. This is an expensive, well made wool rug, being passed off for an outstanding price!! I highly recommend this rug, just keep in mind the color differences so you won't be disappointed. It arrived in a timely matter (In about a week), and was rolled in plastic to protect it. Who can beat $1 for shipping???

This rug is very pink! Pink, mauve and seafoam green are predominant colors. I was hoping for more earthtones, but should have listened to previous reviews. Quality is very good.

Great rug and great value Would buy a rug on Overstock again. Problem with UPS delivery. Hard to move the rug into my home.

Overstock.com would not ship to FPO AP (Military Overseas) addresses so we had to have it sent to a stateside address then shipped over here. Once it got here it was NOT what is pictured. The rug is full or purples and pastels and not the the blues, ivories, beiges, reds and greens mentioned in the add. I understand that the photo may be a bit different from the actual product but this is a completely different product.

I went with the other reviews that said the picture represented the color well, but should have added more weight to the reviewer who said her rug was more pink/mauves. I think I got her rug or a rug from the same dye lot. Overstock needs to have multiple pictures of different rugs of the same pattern. The rug I received (which came quickly and was well-packed) WAS more pink, mauve, and lilac. There were no rich reds, olive greens, browns, or blacks as the picture shows. Purchase with caution.
