Love this rug!
from Rochester, New York,  Dec 5, 2013

Several years back I saw a similar "patchwork" rug from a high end store, but refused to fork over that much dinero. When I saw this one, I knew I had to take the leap and purchase it. So glad I did! This is my second rug purchase from O, and I was pleased with both. Read the description and consumer reviews CAREFULLY. I rely on reviews heavily in most of my purchases. And this one was no exception. (I am so appreciative of those that purchased this rug before me and reviewed it; I knew exactly what to expect.) As we all know, monitors vary, and so will the look of the colors of this rug. As has been stated previously, they are much more muted earth tones than what appears in the photo. My great room is vintage/industrial themed and this rug fits perfectly! It adds a bit of color to my neutrals, without being too dominant. This is a great rug for a high-traffic area. The patterns can hide a bit of food/kid/wine/pet stains that life brings our way. Remember that wool rugs shed -- regardless of their cost and/or quality. Turn the beating brush setting off frequently. Have you ever cleaned the lint basket after drying a batch of new towels? It's a similar effect. (Sorry, it just irks me when people write: "The rug sheds terribly." All natural, handmade rugs will. This is not a defect in the the rug.) The rug was packaged is a very heavy-duty plastic, protecting it from the elements. (We weren't home when it was delivered, so this was a VERY good thing.) As would be expected, it did take a little time for the area that was center of the rolled carpet to lay flat. It was delivered in five days. Pretty impressive.

Beautiful, good quality
 from Virginia,  Apr 20, 2012

The rug is very attractive, seems decently made, is pretty true to what you see on the screen, and was a great price. When I looked at the rug online my concerns were that it seemed very busy and a bit more country than contemporary. The idea and the colors were what I was looking for so I gave it a try anyway. In real life, the rug is less busy -- the patterns and colors harmonize more -- and does look more contemporary than country, I think because it is less busy than appears online.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Colors are pretty close -- yellows and grays are a bit paler in real life, but nothing dramatically different.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Thick enough and seems well made. Have not put it into daily use yet, so can't really say
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? Pretty good. Colors showed pretty true on my screen. Rug is less "busy" in reality than it appears online

Gorgeous rug!
from Pittsburgh, PA,  Oct 25, 2011

This is the second or third rug I have purchased from Overstock.com and they really can't be matched for price and quality. The colors in this particular carpet are just beautiful and it goes perfectly in my dining room. Considering that this is a hand-tufted, wool rug you would expect to pay three or four times the amount that Overstock is charging, plus a much higher shipping charge. I also appreciated the fact that a note is included stating that no children were involved in the making of the rug.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Looks just like the photo on the website.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. This is a thick, soft, high quality rug.
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? Completely accurate.
