This rug is true to the catalog picture in color and appearance. It is very thick and plush under foot. My low rating is due to poor weaving....probably a second from manufacturer. If you look closely at the picture there are two areas in swirling stem that are not brown....it's really two 6" gaps in weaving of the vine's yarn....instead of brown stem .... you have taupe. Defects are located in the curve of stem and where bud extents outward. I did not catch the defects in picture but both were very pronounced on floor. I really liked the rug but the stem gaps are much too visable on such a simple pattern.
