These rugs are very attractive and the colors are quite gorgeous.They are more muted but that's what I was looking for. I bought three different sizes for three different rooms and they all compliment each room perfectly.The price was a steal.They don't seem to shed too bad. I would buy them again.

This rug is thick, rich and gorgeous--but it's certainly not black. Described in some places on the page as "cola", I'd call it brown--but a close friend who's a design professional insists it's really purple. There are some areas that could be called red, most appear brown; looked at from different angles you get different shading effects--all beautiful. But do not buy it if you're looking for a black rug, it's definitely not black. I understood this from the reviews and I'm delighted with it--but that heading should really be changed. Great value, great style, great rug.

Thank you to other reviewers who mentioned the rugs true color. This rug is not black. The color is called cola. You can definately see some purples and browns. Exactly what I was looking for.

Do not order this rug if you need a black rug. It is a brownish/burgandy and gold. I received my rug in mid October and reported to overstock.com that the rug was not black. I asked them to change the description on the website so no one else would have to deal with returning it due to color. Other than the color issue, the rug is very nice and worth the money!

This rug is not black, it is purple. The tag indicates the color is "Cola" - O's inventory descriptive color is incorrect. If you have a need for plum, purple or a blue/burgundy background rug, then the quality and plush feeling is great. This might very well be the rug for you. If you want a black rug, this is NOT the rug you want.
