Hand-tufted Green Leaves Wool Rug (5' x 8')

I received this rug on accident by Overstock. I purchased a totally different rug, but this is the one that showed up at the front door. Imagine my surprise! Thankfully, Overstock has been EXTREAMLY helpful in getting the correct rug sent to me. However, since I have seen the rug in person, I thought I would comment on it. This is an OK rug if you totally dig simplicity. It is about one step up from your typical solid color area rug. The leaf pattern is indented into the fibers so that adds some interest. The color is very close to what I would consider an evergreen. It is very hefty and thick. It also appeared to be of high quality. I did notice that it was going to be a shedder, but I think you have to expect that on 100%wool rugs.

We bought the larger version of this rug and have been very disappointed with it. First of all, the color: the rug is not the color it appears on the screen. I know monitors have different resolutions but this rug is VERY DARK green, a beautiful shade in itself but not what we were expecting. Unless you're looking for dark bottle green, I would encourage you to think about it. The second issue: it sheds tremendously. We've had it for almost a year and it still sheds too much. It needs to be vacumed every other day at least, although every day would probably be best. We have bought all of our rugs from Overstock and have been thrilled with them all, this is the only one we really do not like.
