Hand-tufted Current New Zealand Wool Rug (8' x 11')

bought this rug for our beach condo. Lots of shedding at first but seems to be ok now (a few weeks later). the light blue in the center of the rug is the best looking of the colors, and the light sand color on the edge is also nice. The dark blue and dark sand on the short edges aren't as attractive (especially in a very "bright" beach setting) but they're mostly hiding under our sectional sofa so it doesn't bother me. Reasonably soft to sit on. Overall was pleased with the purchase for the price.

The rug and pad arrived today. The rug is lovely. I have to say though that, in my opinion and my mother's, that it does not look like the photo on our computers. I thought the color variation would be transitional color, not sculpted. Each color is "edged" giving definition. My computer and my mother's computer shows the light beige area as a golden yellow. Actually, I am much more pleased that it is a soft beige. The other colors are close but I would say somewhat lighter than the photo represents. I am pleased and keeping it. Although, if I order again online, I'll probably call and talk to someone about details that I can't view.

I was very hesitant ordering a carpet like this on line..unsure of possible quality, color, and even odor issues. No such issues....I am thrilled! The rug arrived in 3 business days completely wrapped and well protected. The colors are true to those on the screen, the quality beautiful--there is nothing I could have improved on. I will also note that the site allowed me to cancel the order and reorder so I could add the pad I forgot. I worried the first order wouldn't be cancelled properly and I'd be dealing with extra charges--but like everything else, my worries were unfounded. I have a beautiful hand made wool 8x10 wool rug and pad for $100s less than available at stores nearby and all for $2.95 shipping. ! My second time ordering from Overstock and not my last. I love the rug!

The rug arrived as scheduled. It was an excellent quality wool rug. We really enjoy the comfort and the great room enhancement. The design could not be found locally.
