I have long been searching for a new replacement area rug in my dining room and finally took the plunge with this one in the 8 x 11. It's an exceptional rug - it's thick, it's heavy and it feels wonderful under foot. It clearly looks far more expensive than what I paid. It arrived in wonderful condition and only one corner end had to smooth out a bit after shipping. It works wonderfully against my oak floor with my earth toned dining area. My only minor disappointment was that I was expecting more brownish hues rather than the predominately golden/greenish hues- but regardless it still worked perfectly with my decor and was too great of a quality rug to return based on that. Shedding has been minimal for me, however, I did vacuum the whole thing for a good 30 minutes before placing my furniture. 30 mins of vacuuming completely filled my bagless unit about 6 times. Four weeks later, i do have some remaining shedding, but nothing that is bothersome to me. I have no carpet pad under and so far, with my dining set on top, there seems to be no need for a pad underneath. Great price - awesome quality - everyone that has seen it loves it. Very happy!!

We ordered a large rug for our living room, and it is great! We are thinking about ordering another for another room and will do it from Overstock!

I love this rug. It is very true to color...muted gold and green with some burgandy and hints of teal. Looks great in my pale yellow dining room. I looked around the stores for a large rug that was thick and plush and really couldn't find any...especially for this price.

I was very pleased with my purchase. The colors in the rug were darker than I expected, but still fit my decor nicely. I was amazed at how fast the rug was delivered.

This is a beautiful rug!!! The colors are perfectly muted and coordinatied. Gold/Camel/very pale lime and rust are the dominant colors with a few fun patterns of very dark teal and dark red. It is very thick and luxurious. It is sheddidng some, but all wool rugs do that. I have had it for about thee weeks and the shedding is nearly gone. If you are looking for a rug that is contemporary with out being too crazy patterend, this is great, I have an Arts and Crafts home circa ,1910...with lots of dark wood and builtins,and golden oak floors and it brightens up the room just perfectly.

I bought a remnant around the same time as I purchased this rug, and the Overstock rug is much thicker and better quality. The soft colors are perfect for our dining room. This is the second rug I've purchased from Overstock and they've both been great, and delivered quickly. Thanks Overstock!

I really like the colors and pattern. I have not had the shedding problem noted by others. I have had difficulty getting the wrinkles out from the rug being rolled tight for shipping. I have had the rug 2 weeks and still have wavy wrinkles in it. If it will lie flat soon, I will be very happy with this purchase.

I love this rug. It is lovely. I ordered a more traditional rug first which was a little better quality (and higher price) but sent it back because it just didn't go with my decor. This rug is beautiful. It has shed some but it isn't problematic. I love the colors. It is a great blend of traditional/contemporary. Not too far out contemporary. It is actually prettier in person. I love it more each day.

I love this rug! The overall color appearance is not what I expected though. From other reviews, I thought it would look more autumnal. To me, it gives the impression of gold/green with a touch of autumnal colors. Don't get me wrong--it's beautiful, just not what I expected.

Ordered this rug online with extreme skepticism re: color and quality. Received it in just a few days, and am very pleased with it overall. Nice quality wool, and I believe a tremendous value, as I have comparison shopped for months for area rugs. The $1 shippping is a real deal!

As others have mentioned, there is no fringe even though it looks like fringe in the picture. Nice, heavy rug, good workmanship. I have not experienced much shedding. The colors are muted and well done.

I was hesitant to buy an area rug online without seeing it in person first, but I liked the way this looked and the reviews were good, so I took the chance. I love this rug! It arrived in only 4 days. It seems like very good quality, with tight fibers It is not as green as it appears in the picture. Some squares are green, some are caramel, some pale gold, some beige/tan. The border around it is a goldish tan. There is no fringe on it,like it shows in the picture, but I didnt want fringe so thats good. The colors are all very muted and blend well, its actually a very nuetral rug. The caramel color looks great with my light cherry hardwood floors! The accent colors are dark red, cinnamon and a blue. I was scared of the blue, because there is no blue in my decor - my house is all warm colors, but it actually looks really good! It does shed a little bit like others have said, but its not a big deal at all. This was an excellent purchase for the price!

I was nervous about ordering a rug online, but I am so pleased I did. The quality of this rug is great, the colors are true to the picture, lots of cinnamon, and sage. . Very pretty and thick, seems to hold up well with children and a dog in a high traffic room. I ordered the rug on a Sunday night and opted for standard delivery, the rug arrived Friday afternoon!!

though i love the look and feel of this rug, the constant shedding has made it a very disappointing purchase. i could knit a sweater a day with all the wool balls that come up from the carpet! i was hoping it would stop, but even after vacuuming constantly for two months, the shedding is relentless. :-(

I purchased this rug after trying to decide between several offered on Overstock. From the photo, I thought that this rug would be more olive/gold in its base. Instead, its more reddish, but it still is perfect for the room I bought it for. Very cushy on the feet! You can't beat Overstock on their wool rug prices and inexpensive shipping. I went to a lot of different sites that offered wool rugs at a discount, and nothing compared to Overstocks pricing. Of course, in getting a great deal on a wool rug, you are sometimes limited to what they have available and in certain sizes. Or, limited stock. But overall, a steal! I do want to mention that the image shown for this particular rug makes it look like the rug has fringe at each end, when it actually didn't on the one that was sent to me. (I was fine with it either way...). Also, when the rug was shipped, it was kind of rolled up in a mish-mashed fashion before they put the plastic around it. Since we are waiting to move into our house, we made a point of unrolling it and rolling it up properly so that when we did finally unroll it, it wouldn't be lumpy and take forever to relax.

The contemporary squares wool rug is a very nice piece -- hard to capture the true colors in photos online, or at least I felt that way. Full, rich tones make for a beautiful rug, and the quality seems to be very good. Seems to be a high quality piece, and I am quite satisfied.

This rug is very beautiful. I just moved into a new home, and all of the colors are just what I wanted in my rug. The rug is very well made and soft. I recommend this rug to anyone who likes these colors.

Rug arrived in good time. Colors are beautiful and go well with my wall colors and art. They're muted enough to blend with many styles of furniture and architecture. It is not shedding as some reviews noted. My ONLY issue is that there are some "lumps" from being rolled up for shipment (my guess). I hope that over time they flatten. Still, it's very attractive.

We were pretty nervous buying a rug over the internet. We were very pleased. The rug is very thick and the weave is very tight. I am not an expert but I have seen very similar rugs go for twice as much in retail stores. The only negative would be that the actual color of the rug is a bit different from the online picture, but it still worked very well in our house. Would definetely recommend this product. Shipping was fast and of course very cheap. As far as the shedding, nothing out of the ordinary, just the way wool rugs are.
