Hand-tufted Brown Wool Rug (8' x 11')

I bought this rug to bring some depth and dimension to a family room without adding a lot of color. The room is in shades of tan, gold, and brown, with green accents, so I had to be careful in not adding too many other colors. I went back and forth with several different rugs, and in the end chose this one because I wanted to add texture and depth to the room without drawing the eye away from my tobacco colored leather furniture. It is gorgeous! The colors show up a little greenish on my monitor, but are not at all green in real life. The background color is a rick brown, but not so dark as chocolate. The flowers are big and bold, and slightly raised. The overall color dimensions of the flowers are golden-camel. When viewed from directly above, it might be a little overwhelming, and I don't think I'd carpet a whole room with it, but from a standing position or when sitting, I get exactly the desired effect of beautiful texture without tons of added color. The rug does shed a lot initially, but my 3.5 year old was all over it on hands and knees without any trouble this weekend. It is a steal at this price and arrived 3 days after I ordered it! Unbelievable!!! I wish I had shopped Overstock before I bought the other area rugs in my home. Will definitely consider rugs here before I head out the door in the future.
