More geometric than expected
This rug is high quality, but I'm returning it for two reasons: 1) The "taupe" part of the rug was too yellow and didn't match our room at all. I think if your room had gold/bronze accents, this rug would go well, but if you have nickel/steel accents as I do, it looks really off. 2) The pattern is really striking. I tend to like a more muted contemporary look (our furniture in this room is from room and board), which I thought I would get from this rug, but the raised diamond pattern was just too bold for my personal taste.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? No blue, more of a concrete grey. And the other color was a dull gold.

Sophisticated rug
It does shed quite a bit, but I expected it would. In the past I've purchased both high-end and cheaper-priced wool rugs, and no matter what, they all seem to shed quite a bit. I think it's just the nature of wool tufted rugs; however, it does eventually lessen quite a bit. It is a textured rug with both wool tufted portions (the tan and darker gray) which is a higher pile, and wool looped (the lighter gray) which is the lower pile. The texture is what gives the rug its character and the effect is subtle with the muted colors. We're trying to achieve a mid-century modern look to our living room (with teak and birch wood furniture), and I feel this rug is contributing to the interior aesthetics we're looking for.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? It looked a little more lavendar on the screen, but fortunately it was more darker gray in person.

Love it!
I just received this rug and so far am VERY pleased! The color looks exactly like it does on my screen. It's sort of a subtle high/low pile, with the low part being sort of a berber and the high being a very soft plush. The colors are light grey and a sort of beige/tan color. It's very neutral. I've been searching for months for an affordable 100% contemporary wool rug. Either what I was finding was way too expensive, or "modern" translated into sort of cheesy designs. This is very a elegant, textural style. (I haven't had it long enough to address previous reviewer's comments about shedding).

Excellent quality!
Excellent, high quality rug for a reasonable price! Colors are cream, with raised areas of light grey edged in gold. The raised texture really make the rug, but it's definitely something you have to see in person as the pictures don't do it justice. Fits in perfectly with our mid century modern decor but will work well with just about any. As others have mentioned, it does shed quite a bit, but after a few months it calms down considerably. You won't be disappointed.

great rug
Great rug - love the up and downs of the pile - gives the rug dimension. Color is accurate. The rug does shed though. First couple of vacuums will be full of shedding rug. Now, much less but still get rug shed on my socks.

Yuck
see it in person, or skip it - unless perhaps you have a light room with light furniture, and then it would ground that color scheme a bit - it's possible that it would look decent in some rooms, but it's still not the thickest rug or the heaviest rug.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? We sent it back because it had a hole/bald spot where there was no nap, but would have sent it back anyway. The rug was light, but on the yellowy tan side. It didn't seem like it was high quality, but maybe the hole made me think that. The rug looked richer on the internet, and darker, and bluer. I wouldn't buy this rug unless I saw it in person and liked it, because it's hard to imagine the differences.

Love the diffent dimensions. Looks like a much more expensive rug. Has shed a lilttle but not like I expected it would.

Love at first sight
This is such a gorgeous rug. The pattern and texture gives it a very organic feel. The colors look similar to the picture, except that the contrast between the gray and beige isn't so severe. The rug is made by Surya and is part of their Naya collection. The design is ny-5125. I wish I had that information before I purchased the rug! So I hope it helps someone else who is on the fence since googling the brand, collection, and design will yield more pictures and comparison prices. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because 1) In parts of the rug, there were random fibers that were mixed in with the wool fibers. Thankfully, I was able to yank most of these fibers out pretty easily. 2) The quality of the wool isn't that great considering it's supposed to be 100% New Zealand wool. My last 100% New Zealand wool rug was much softer than this one.
