Lovely chest that I have next to the bed as a nightstand. Works very well in that location and would also be a nice piece for a small entry. There were some very small dings from shipping around the bottom that covered intantly with a black sharpy so they were no problem at all. Nice finish work and detail on the front is subtle. I will happily use this chest for many years to come

I was rhrilled with my recent purchase of the black hand painted bombay chest. The quality is first rate. The only assembly required was to put on the legs which was a snap. The smaller size is just right for the area of my living room where I needed a piece of furniture. I would recommend this piece to all.I received the chest within a week of ordering it. Couldn't be happier.

I am totally happy with this little chest. I purchased it for my room for the TV and for underclothing storage. It works perfectly for my purposes. Nice black finish with subtle shading on the front which is hardly noticable. Just make sure you pay attention to the measurements, It is not a huge piece. Love it!

I received my first chest 2 weeks ago and unfortunately it arrived with considerable damage. This was my first purchase from Overstock.com. I cannot say enough about Overstock.com return policy. It was so easy to do online and Overstock.com handled the entire return. I didn't have to do thing. My replacement chest arrived exactly 2 weeks later and it is perfect!! It is simply beautiful and looks wonderful in my foyer. My only negative would be that I wish it was 1-2 inches taller. Otherwise a great buy for a beautiful accent piece.

I was so excited to get such an amazing deal on this chest. This finish is gorgeous, very elegant and it works wonderfully with my decor. The best deal I've gotten on furniture in a long time and the construction and quality are phenomenal, it is very heavy. It arrived in perfect condition in 3 days and the best part was all I had to do was put on the legs which took 2 minutes and it was ready to go.

Item arrived today and is chipped all over lower right side. The wood is chipped along with paint in other areas. Sadly this item is made very poorly. Already called to return it. Please think again before buying this item.........

This Bombay chest is precisely what I was looking for. I was a little concerned after reading other reviews that it might come nicked or damaged, but it is perfect. I am very happy with the purchase. The advice that I would give is that it is rather heavy and not something most woman can extract from the box alone, so call a friend :) Also, the legs were in a box in the bottom drawer and were not supremely easy to remove but they attached easily enough! I highly recommend this produce if the look matches what you are seeking.

i was very impressed with the quality of this "little" accent chest - it far surpassed what i expected to get for the price i paid! the finish was perfect, not too shiney - but not dull either. MY MISTAKE...i was going to use this as a night stand but it was way too small, so i used it in my foyer instead. the picture of the chest makes it appear larger - so just be sure to check the actual dimentions.

I am quite happy with this chest and it actually exceeded my expectations. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. There are no apparent knicks or dings. It is a lovely accent piece and would work well in many rooms. I highly recommend this item!

the product is great and looks wonderful in my living room next to my new couches as an accent piece. the whole process was very easy and very professional. this was my first time shopping on line let alone at overstock.com. they even honored a coupon i have scene in ladies hone journal november issue and i received more of a discount. i would highly recommend this site to others. also the expedition of my order was way ahead of schedule. i was so impressed. i actually engaged in an on line chat which made things run smoothly as well. i have my eye on an flat screen entertainment center in black. i'm hoping there will be better discounts with the holidays coming.

I bought two for bedside tables. I am happy with them however one came with paint rubbed /chipped off on the front and back lower area. It seems that it would be very difficult to send a large piece like this back. I will just touch up with paint. I think they are made well but a little concerned about the paint. The look is great!!

This chest is beautiful. I purchased it for my entry way, but am using it as an accent table. It arrived in about 4 days, much quicker than I thought, and was very easy to assemble. It did have a couple of scratches with chipped paint on the lower left side but not noticeable enough for me to send back. This piece was well worth the money. I have seen similar pieces but the quality and workmanship did not compare. You can not go wrong with this purchase.

I ordered this accent chest to use as a night stand as my old night stands were not high enough for our new bed. It arrived quicker than I thought it would and was a beautiful piece of furniture. In fact, I am going to order another one! Even my husband was pleased with it! I would highly recommend it!

This is a great value, and a very pretty addition to my bedroom. I am using it as a nightstand, and the dimensions are perfect. I plan on painting my walls light blue grey to set off the black.
