This chest is nice but not exceptional. I guess for the price I was expecting a little bit better workmanship. There were lots of little areas where the finish was missing. Used my furniture repair pens to fix it. It is something that I would recommend to a friend but let them know exactly what to expect as far as quality. After the necessary touch-ups it does look nice in my entryway where I put it. With a bouquet of flowers and a mirror over it, it has brought my entryway to life. The drawers are small but nice for extra storage which most of us need. It is mainly used by my female guests to put their handbags on when they enter my home.

This is a pretty good bombe chest, I suppose for the price. Unfortunately, mine arrived damaged and because the packaging was pretty intact, I believe that it was packed with the damage. It has scars around the bottom right side which I tried to correct with a furniture marker. I'm not shipping back because it's a hassle and even though the damage is moderate, you can't really see it because of where it is. Finish is uneven on top and the stenciling is almost impossible to detect on the front. However, it was very inexpensive, so I suppose it's a decent value (had it not been damaged).

This was my first experience using Overstock.com. The product arrived very quickly and was packed very well. The only assembly I had to do was to put the legs on the chest. It is very well made and of high quality. There was an area on one of the legs that the finish was scraped and scratched, but that is something that is easily touched up and not worth the hassle of sending it back. All in all, I am very pleased with the quality of the product, the ease of ordering and the promptness of delivery.

This was my first time buying furniture online and I am happy I did. It is a very cute looking chest, I am using it in my foyer and it looks great with a decent wall hanging. I wish it had a little bit more shiny wood polish, but it has a kind of antique look the way it is. No complaints, love it

I received the chest 3 days after my order. The chest is heavier than I expected, which is great! The color is true to the picture on the website. All in all - a terrific find.

This little Bombay Chest is a fabulous find on Overstock! I was a little leery of ordering furniture without being able to touch and see how sturdy it was, but I'm glad I took the plunge! It arrived WELL BOXED up and had no scratches or dings. I took it out of the box and attached the feet...turned it over and was thrilled with my purchase! A word to the wise...take it out of the box OUTSIDE! The styrofoam that it is packed with mixed with static electricity and made it go EVERYWHERE all over my entryway and living room! Wish I had thought to do that!!! Also, the feet and instructions were packed in the bottom drawer...it took me quite a while to get the drawer opened...but I finally did so. Also, please measure the space you're going to be using this...it is a small piece...but was the perfect size for my guest bedroom.

This little chest was delivered to my door in 2 days. It took me about 30 minutes to unpack it and screw in the feet. It is gorgeous. It's small enough to fit in several places in my big empty condo and big enough to hold all my lingerie and socks. Perfect match to my neutral decor. Well crafted, lovely finish, strong component parts, including a solid back, not flimsy cardboard. For the price... a great deal..

This is a great value. Solid construction and beautiful. Mine arrived without a scratch on it. I'm using mine as a night stand, but this could easily go in other areas of a home. Buy this, you won't be disappointed.

I couldn't be happier with my Bombay chest. The colors are rich, yet warm. It's beside my most comfortable chair and holds my favorite glass of wine each evening---completes my comfort zone.

My parents (in their 90's!) ordered this chest as a TV stand for their new 32" flat screen TV. I did the research and they chose this chest--first time they've ever ordered anything online! It arrived in perfect condition, very well packaged. It looked exactly as it was represented, and adds a nice warm touch to their living room. It's a small chest, but the height is just right for a TV. The price was very reasonable, and the low shipping fee sealed the deal. This sure beat stomping around in stores looking for just the right piece.

The chest came very quickly, it was true to picture, no real work to do, just screw on the wooden feet. I was disappointed about the height but that was my falut for not paying more attention.

Loved the fact that when I opened the box, it was wrapped in styrofoam and completely assembled except for the four feet. It is a solid piece of furniture, and I am using it as a bedside table. The drawers open easily and are perfect to keep jewelry or lingeree in. I would buy more pieces from this same company, it is just what I had hoped for and looks just like the picture, but you feel like you got a one of a kind piece because of the hand painting!

I read all the reviews, so I knew exactly what to expect. The chest is perfect for a night stand. It arrived in perfect condition and attaching the legs was a cinch. I love it and I would order it again in a heartbeat. Thanks overstock for making it so easy to get quality items at a good price.

I bought this piece for my walk in closet, but after seeing it, it looked great in my foyer.. I ordered another one, with a different design. Beautiful piece, great quality. I checked the web and Overstock had it the cheapest. Highly recommed this piece. It is gorgeous..

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and saw this beautiful piece of furniture. Very well made. Very easy to put together with an allen wrench they provide. Three BIG drawers. The finish is wonderful. The red is very rich looking. Worth far, far more than what I paid for it. I use it for a night table next to my bed...it has tons of room for anything I want there. I can see it used in the living room, dining room, foyer...really anywhere in the house! If you like it buy it....you'll be very happy with it.

Looks just like the pictures. Very pretty red color. Mine came in excellent condition, completely encased in foam. Just had to put the legs on. Drawers are a little stiff but it's not something I'll be opening often so doesn't matter to me. It is smaller than I thought but I should have measured. :)

I bought this chest as an alternative to a typical flat screen television stand. I love it!! The red color is very subtle and with the brown trim goes very well with other furnitiure in the room. The drawers are big enough to hold DVDs, videos while keeping them out of sight. This is made of MDF so if you want wood it's not for you but if you're looking for a character piece for a reasonable price it's great.

This bombay chest is a beautiful piece of furniture. However, it did arrive with some minor flaws. There are several small spots on the front of the chest at the edges of drawers and seams of cross pieces where the red or brown finish is chipped off, revealing the white primer underneath. Fortunately, I happen to be a decorative painter and can easily cover those spots. There are also two raised areas on the top surface. Reminds me of a screw pushing out a surface before actually coming through the surface. Those can't be repaired. Considering what the chest would have cost had it been hand carved out of solid wood, it's a good buy and still a beautiful piece of furniture.

After reading the reviews, I was a bit skeptical about purchasing the chest, but I decided to go for it anyhow. The colors are true to the picture, and at first glance it appears fine, but one by one you start seeing the flaws, nicks, and scratches; it's just a bit disappointing. There are especially a lot of chips near the edge of the drawers, but it's nothing major enough to go through the hassle of calling/returning. (But against a darker wood, the white nicks and chips tend to stand out) Fortunately, I'm one of those hands-on people and I'm able to touch them up with paint. The upside is that there is not much assembly required, the dimensions are true to the description, and the color is spot on. But if you're expecting some high quality piece of furniture I would have to say this is not your buy.
