My bombay chest arrived today with a broken leg along with the side not completely painted. At 52% reduction on price it still wasn't worth the price on sale. I've attempted to return it however they are sending another leg. Once the leg arrives I will see how easy it is to replace the broken one. However, I feel I will still return it. Very disappointing.
This afternoon I received this beautiful chest I had been anxiously awaiting. It does appear to be all I expected except the back leg was broken completely off. The side of the chest was cracked and I believe it was damaged in shipping or it was improperly packaged. The legs were not very well protected and the packing box was not very damaged so I'm not sure what the reason for damage. I had searched for a chest like this for months and finally found this and it looks as though it has sold out so I may not get another one after all.......sooo disappointing.
There was no assembly. It came in one big box, securely packaged. It is a beautiful, small chest perfect for my upstairs hallway between two windows with shutters. It was a wonderful shopping experience. The product was just as it was represented. It couldn't have been easier. I will definitely shop overstock again.
