This is a lovely, very solid piece of furniture. It was packaged in more styrofoam & cardboard than I want to think about. I will be trying to donate it all to the UPS store because the styrofoam alone would take 2 large garbage can fulls to get rid of. Even had a big piece of plywood in the box to protect it! It came without a scratch and fully assembled. When I was unwrapping it, I was afraid the panels were plastic. On further investigation they are metal, but painted flat the exact color as the wood. The picture shows a greenish contrast, which I would have preferred. There were 4 blotches on the panels where the paint was smudged off, leaving a light colored contrast. At first I thought it was just a flaw, but they are completely symmetrical. The package insert explains that each piece is hand painted and to expect variations - I guess this is whoever painted its version of the paint job. I really wish the painting even remotely highlighted the beautiful scroll work on the metal. The good news, the carved detailing on the wood is really wood. With most furniture in this price range you would get resin, molded to look like carved wood. I was hoping to fit some large books or photo albums into the cabinet - the way the doors shut you can only fit a 10 1/8 inch deep item, despite being 13 inches deep. The front of the chest is curved and so pretty. The top drawer has a stop on it so does not pull out accidentally. I love the hardware on the drawer, the toggle pulls on the cabinet doors not so much. On the back of the chest there was a plastic bag containing a tipping restraint to attach it to the wall, along with a warning it could fall over and cause injuries otherwise. I am not going to tether it to the wall, because I want to be able to move it to clean underneath. The same warning is on the inside of the chest, advising to place the heaviest items on the bottom shelf and not to put anything heavy on top, like a tv. I can understand that - the piece is taller than it is wide or deep so I suppose it could tip over if loaded incorrectly. Overall this is a beautiful piece of furniture, good value for the price.
The product for the price is excellent. UPS was not so nice. They delivered in the rain with no notice and left it in the vestibule after I said I would come downstairs to let him in. I had to push it into the Lobby until I could get someone to help me bring it to my unit. This piece is heavy. It is a beautiful chest!
I've never ordered furniture before, so I did quite a bit of reading and discovered this is a Pulaski piece, so I researched it through their descriptions as well. The chest is perfect in so many places - since it's 36" high and only 13" deep. It came promplty (one day early!). The exterior box was gouged in several places so I was worried - but the way it was packed INSIDE was super imprressive . . Fort Knox comes to mind! Even the insides were packed with styrofoam. Well made, completely asssembled. I was delighted to find that the upper shallow drawer is removable (some are not and therefore completely useless at a 13" depth). Also the shelf inside is completely adjustable as well. There were no scratches or problems. well only one . . . should have bought more! I put it in the master bath - but it could function in a hall, entryway, bedroom . . love it!

This table/cabinet looks very nice in my foyer. For the price paid, it is an excellent value. I would not have paid very much more, but I am happy with the looks and the quality. It was packaged very well. Whoever packed it for shipping treated it like "fine furniture". It arrived with no shipping damage and very quickly. I am a happy customer.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. It's not "fine" furniture, but it is a quality piece of furniture. Comperable to what you might find at Bombay, Kirklands, etc. It's not cheap, and dosesn't look cheap.
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? I thought there was a little floral pattern on the doors, and there wasn't. Other than that, It was described very well.
