Based on prior reviews,furniture brand,price and picture thought this would be a nice chest. It is pretty at first glance but after closer examination is very poor quality. Narrow is nice and front legs set on rug so no worry of tipping. MDF shows through in curves on top and is very rough finish. After a month in my home the drawers will no longer close and I keep seeing more flaws. Definitely not worth the price. This is my second order that I have been dissatisfied with and there will not be a third.

I returned the item. It was nor described correctly. The brown "distressed" chunks on the cream paint looked awful and the description did not say anything at all about it being distressed!!!

Chest is nice. It tips forward, so you either have to anchor it to the wall (hardware included) or prop up the front legs. There is a slight smell inside, which should eventually fade.

it really is not very deep. top drawers are pretty much just good for holding a last minute brush or pencil and paper to use before you run out the door. cabinet is good for storing small books. good for a narrow hallway. the reason i would not recommend this is mostly because of the price. after searching the sales, and there have been quite a few with the economy the way it is, of our local furniture stores i probably could have gotten this for the same or less. overstock does not tell you who the manufacturer is but i will. it is made by Pulaski furniture corp.

I absolutely love this piece of furniture, too bad there aren't other pieces to go with it, for example a china cupboard would really be wonderful. I would highly recommend anyone to buy this buffet chest.
