This is the first piece of furniture that I bought from Overstock.com that I was disappointed in. The chest is very pretty but I was expecting very good craftsmanship for the price. This item is very cheaply made and I would not recommend paying so much for it. The drawers do not stay in place and wobble and tilt when opened. Very disappointing.

A "decent" Chinese made product. It is quite a bit browner and darker than the picture. There are many covered up flaws (deep scratches, filled in worm holes etc.) A decent but NOT quality piece, and a bit overpriced for what you get.

Very, very disappointed in the appearance of this chest. I got it for a bedroom with red cherry furniture based on the picture shown. The chest is dark brown and the beautiful hand painted accents shown in the picture barely show up - they just look muddy. I couldn't reject it because it wasn't damaged and the cost of return isn't worth it. This isn't Overstock's fault - the same picture is shown on other web sites. But beware if appearance is at all important to you.

This piece of furniture is really not worth the money asked. It is of poor quality. colors are not distinct, and it was NOTHING like the picture.It was to say the least a BIG DISSAPOINTMENT. Save yourself the trouble of returning it and having to pay a shipping charge

I got this chest for my new house and it is so lovely the colors are vivid and i just love it.

The chest arrived quickly and was well packed. It looks very classy in our grand room. So glad I bought especially for the price.

I am very disappointed in the color of this chest. I love red and was counting on the lovely red in the picture to really impress and contrast with the cappuccino color of the vanity in my powder room. Instead, the darker color almost matches with the flowers blending in too much. Had it been less expensive, I might not have minded so much, but the online picture made it seem worth the splurge.

This is a beautiful chest. The color is more of a burgandy which is what I wanted. The top, side, and front paintings are lovely. The chest is well made and came well packaged.

This chest is beautiful, it is classic yet modern enough to blend with my eclectic style. My husband whose taste is very traditional loved it as well. You will not be disappointed with this purchase-worth every dime!

the red color is not as vibrant as in the picture, more maroon. That makes the contrast as little less striking. That being said, the construction and the shape was not bad at all. We will be keeping it.

The Bombay chest was absolutely everything I hoped for. It came well packaged and in perfect condition. As others mentioned in their review, the colors were more subdued than pictured. It looks beautiful in my foyer and I am very happy with my purchase.

Beautiful piece, made really well and sturdy. I am very pleased with the value of this item. Large drawers with lots of space. Etching is suttle and elegant. Only assembly is adding the four legs and one bolt each. Thanks O for this beautiful item!

I love this chest. I'm using it in a bedroom and it is perfect with a large mirror or print hanging over it. I wish I had gotten a little better price but I highly recommend this chest. I just love a great deal.

We are very happy with our Bombay Chest. It is not as bright as in the picture but we actually like the darker color better. We have bought quite alot from Overstock.com lately and have loved everything we purchased. Thank you very much!

I am not an internet shopper for furniture due to the breakage and scratching of the items..but Overstock is total professional, careful and the quality is outstanding..My husband and I and family and friends that have given us a visit to our home are just breathless with my new Bombay Chest..I just love it...Thank you OS..

First, I was pleased that the packing was so well done that my boyfriend and I were able to move the chest end over end up the staircase to my room, and unpacked there. The bottom of the packing box has a flat piece of wood for extra protection; great idea. I may be vacuuming up styrofoam for weeks, but it's worth it. This is a very substantial piece of furniture. It is way more subtle than the picture; I like the colors much better in person. I needed a chest that would have high enough legs so it would fit against a wall with a heating duct near the floor, and this fits the bill. It is exactly what I needed.

This chest was everything we thought it would be. Unique design. Adds to the decor while serving a place to hide kids board games.

Very pretty bombay chest. The red is more of a brownish red but still very pretty. No assembly necessary. Ready to go right out of the box.
