Sheds worse than a pet!
I knew this rug was wool when I bought it and I had heard that wool rugs shed, but I never thought it would be this bad! (I gave it 3 stars because I take a bit of blame for not doing proper research, otherwise I'd give it 1-2.) This rug sheds worse than a cat! One of the reasons I don't have pets is because I don't want to be vacuuming their fur up everyday - but with this rug I find myself dusting and sweeping twice a day to keep up with the fuzz balls generated by this thing. To be fair the rug is in a high trafficked area and I do find myself rubbing my feet on it because it is soft, but I think a rug should be able to handle some contact without expelling plumes of white fur that are quite noticeable against my dark hardwood flooring. Another warning: The fuzz has a particular affinity for felt protectors, which I have on the bottom of all my furniture. If I'm not careful, the table I have near the rug starts to look like it's wearing fuzzy white boots. I will acknowledge a few positive things. The rug is thick and feels high quality. It doesn't need a mat underneath it and it is quite soft on bare feet. The colors and design are also nice - probably the only reason I haven't thrown it out yet, as I bought a few other accessories for the living room to match it. The bottom line: Only get this rug if it's going to sit in an empty room where no one will ever touch it. Even then you'll probably still need to vacuum, but maybe just once a week.

Beautiful...but sheds like crazy!!!
Rug arrived quickly. Very beautiful and thick rug. Only problem is the rug sheds like crazy. I've had it about 2 months now and still shedding...but getting better compared to when I first got it. I would never sit on it with dark clothes because you would be covered with fibers. Fingers crossed it eventually stops!

I purchased this rug about 3 weeks ago. Arrived approx. 9 days later. It was well wrapped for the cross-country transit. It is a wonderful quality, thick wool carpet. Colors are vibrant but not overpowering. No matter it gives a terrific contrast & blends well against my Pecan floor and grey stone fireplace. This is a quality rug and the money was well-spent on its purchase. It should provide many, many useful years of service. It doesn't shed and it has no smell. I recommend this rug enthusiastically.

Beautiful!
This rug is beautiful! It's thick and super plush. As soon as we unrolled it, my dogs prompty sprawled out on it and fell asleep (making me think I need more of these!). The colors match the pictures exactly. It IS a wool rug, so it sheds, but that's to be expected. If you don't want to have to vacuum often, then I don't recommend a wool rug. And as always, shipping was super fast!

Beautiful Rug
I read a reviews before purchasing the rug and it helped me decide to go ahead take the plunge and make the purchase.. I opened the package, rolled out the rug, were about an 1/2" thicker than the rest of the rug I bought before. It's a really pretty and unique feature. Long story short, the rug is a beautiful addition to my office and the colors are true to the online picture and I'm very happy with my purchase.
