To be honest, I was disappointed in the colors. It has a lot of yellow and green in it. I thought it was going to be darker and have more colors, (peach, beige, ivory, brown). It does lay nicely though. It is a well made rug. I am trying to let it grow on me......
I had been looking for "just the right area rugs" for a particular room, and "these are them". The colors are rich without being gaudy, and the quality outstanding. They are so dense and lush I that my 3 kitties have adopted them as "relaxation mats". I purchased 4 of these rugs, and would do it again.

I read the description of this rug so many times before I actually ordered it that I had it almost memorized. I also read a lot of the reviews, most of which were positive. I bought it in the 4'x6' and 2'x3' sizes. They are both exquisite! Yes, they shed. ALL WOOL RUGS SHED FOR ABOUT 2 TO 4 MONTHS WHEN NEW!!! But the shedding doesn't show on the rug or detract from its beauty. It has a sheen just like another 2'x3' rug (which I bought locally for 5 times more!!) that is Nepalese, but made by Tibetans living there. The colors are sometimes muted and other times not...it's according to the light. Either way, the colors are wonderful. I never liked going barefoot, but I love walking on this rug in my bare feet! I am using the 2'x3' rug as a bath mat!! I've paid twice as much for bath mats as I did for this size rug. Stepping on it, right from the shower, is pure luxury. The larger one is in my small dining area. Every meal, I kick off my shoes so I can rub my feet on it. It relieves foot stress and pain!! So not only is it functional and beautiful, but therapeutic, too!! And very well made. This is a quality rug. If you are thinking about buying it, DO IT!! You won't regret it.

This rug is just what I have been looking for for my entryway. It is thick and warm and shows no sign that we have even been on it (I have boys, a husband and several pets, this thing is sturdy and hides what the carpet definitely didn't). The colors may be more muted than the image shows, but not by much and I really like it. I have seen much thinner rugs for sale at higher prices and with the 2.99 shipping it was cheaper than driving around looking for one, what with the price of gas. Now if I can just get the dog off of it (I guess he thinks it is soft and warm too). This was my first Overstock purchase. I will definitely be back.
