Hope this post will help other shoppers, as the Overstock photos of these rugs are terrible! In real life, the overall effect is "light-medium golden neutral", the stripes are a wonderful melange of subtle blues, olive, oranges, browns, even lavender - reminds me of a large spice rack . Very impressed with the subtle use of so many colors. Rugs are thick and soft, made by Safavieh Corp. rugs, part of the "Tibetan" line - and I have seen this rug online at 2-3x this price. Only downside is there was some rug shedding at first, typical of new wool rugs (otherwise 5 stars; colors, workmanship, pile thickness deserve 6 stars). Rug looks great with my "natural wood/cream" furniture. This is a dense knotted wool rug, suggest a pad on hardwood floors to protect the rug back - hope this helps, these rugs are far prettier than the photos - great for a neutral/golden/warm palette - my cat loves them too.

This rug is really beautiful, plush, and stylish. The colors are definitely lighter or more "muted" in person as other reviewers suggest. My rug did not come with any sort of fringe around it but rather a one-inch beige border of the same kind of wool as the rest of the rug. My only complaint- I wish it came in a bigger size!

I have purchased area rugs from Overstock before and have always been satisfied. As always, I received the rug within two days. It was intended for a trafficked area but the quality, color and texture were just too impressive and it ended up in my bedroom. The reason for the review is that it appears that the majority of area rugs sold by Overstock are made by SAFAVIEH. Knowing that now makes price comparisons much easier. I purchased two Safavieh rugs in this order and did some price comparisons after finding this out. No matter how much searching I did, I could not find this rug anywhere, and it is readily available, for less than twice the price. The other rug was available for the same price as Overstock on two websites. I am happy with both rugs, but much happier with the price of this one.

I wanted a low pile rug for my office...i wanted specific colors and no fringe...this rug is exactly what i got...my office chair moves easily over the rug...

I'm very happy with this rug -- it's solid construction and feels good on bare feet. Should use a mat if you don't want it to move around. Cleans up well and isn't shedding very much. Colors are more muted/paler than on website -- they blend well with various shades in the same color families. I'm very pleased with it.

This rug has soft earth tone colors that compliment my room perfectly. It is very heavy , of excellent quality and I am actually more impressed with it than I thought I would be when I made the purchase. The weaving and backing are done so well there ois not even a hint of wrinkle or curve to the rug. The picture does not actually show the rug to its best advantage

The other reviews are right....the colors dont match the example....its muted and yellows. But, its perfect for my house since I have pale/cream walls. Its super plush which feels great under your feet. I have rugs from West Elm, Lowes and others...none of them are as plush and high end feeling. The rug will require a grip if you are using it on hardwood floors. I really like the rug just wish it was bit dark and had no fringe.

This rug is beautiful and EXACTLY how it looks in the picture - it is also nice and thick - I would buy it again and again.

This rug is everything it is advertised as -- altho the picture does not show the fringe - fringe was a nice surprise. The rug's colors are more muted as other reviewers have said but that is part of why I bought it - it is soft and thick and is almost finished shedding which again I expected. I am an avid bargain shopper, ****, ****, **** and this rug is a real bargain of high quality.

To be honest, I was disappointed in the colors. It has a lot of yellow and green in it. I thought it was going to be darker and have more colors, (peach, beige, ivory, brown). It does lay nicely though. It is a well made rug. I am trying to let it grow on me......

I had been looking for "just the right area rugs" for a particular room, and "these are them". The colors are rich without being gaudy, and the quality outstanding. They are so dense and lush I that my 3 kitties have adopted them as "relaxation mats". I purchased 4 of these rugs, and would do it again.

I read the description of this rug so many times before I actually ordered it that I had it almost memorized. I also read a lot of the reviews, most of which were positive. I bought it in the 4'x6' and 2'x3' sizes. They are both exquisite! Yes, they shed. ALL WOOL RUGS SHED FOR ABOUT 2 TO 4 MONTHS WHEN NEW!!! But the shedding doesn't show on the rug or detract from its beauty. It has a sheen just like another 2'x3' rug (which I bought locally for 5 times more!!) that is Nepalese, but made by Tibetans living there. The colors are sometimes muted and other times not...it's according to the light. Either way, the colors are wonderful. I never liked going barefoot, but I love walking on this rug in my bare feet! I am using the 2'x3' rug as a bath mat!! I've paid twice as much for bath mats as I did for this size rug. Stepping on it, right from the shower, is pure luxury. The larger one is in my small dining area. Every meal, I kick off my shoes so I can rub my feet on it. It relieves foot stress and pain!! So not only is it functional and beautiful, but therapeutic, too!! And very well made. This is a quality rug. If you are thinking about buying it, DO IT!! You won't regret it.

This rug is just what I have been looking for for my entryway. It is thick and warm and shows no sign that we have even been on it (I have boys, a husband and several pets, this thing is sturdy and hides what the carpet definitely didn't). The colors may be more muted than the image shows, but not by much and I really like it. I have seen much thinner rugs for sale at higher prices and with the 2.99 shipping it was cheaper than driving around looking for one, what with the price of gas. Now if I can just get the dog off of it (I guess he thinks it is soft and warm too). This was my first Overstock purchase. I will definitely be back.

We read the previous reviews on this rug before ordering, so we were prepared for muted colors from what is shown on the website. The color is a bit muted, but it is still a beautiful rug and the quality is very nice.

This rug is not a *little* paler than depicted in the photo -- it is *much* paler. If you want a colorful rug that will add a punch of color to your room, do not get this rug. If I had seen it in person, I would not have purchased it. On the positive side, the rug feels very soft underfoot.

This is a beautiful, thick, soft rug, extremely well-constructed. I may have to buy a second one. It's a great buy. Colors are more muted than they appear, but I expected that, and the colors are quite rich.

I'm very pleased with this rug. Its nice and thick with great workmanship. It is lighter than the online picture appears.
