pile depth
I was expecting a "hand knotted" rug to have almost no pile. This one has about a 1/4 inch. I guess that makes it more comfortable, tho slightly harder to keep clean. It's definitely not a deep pile like a hand tufted rug, which is hard to keep clean. The color is described as brown, but it really has a lot more moss greens in it, or sage green. The color is very nice and subtle. The delivery came very quickly and the rug is completely without an odor. I have bought wool rugs before brand new that smelled, not unpleasantly, but I'd rather have no scent at all. Over all I'm glad I bought this rug-- at a third the price of other hand knotted. wool rugs
