Beni Ourain Style Rug
from Dallas, Texas,  Feb 2, 2014

I wasnít able to find any reviews on this rug so I purchased it on a leap of faith, as the photos are beautiful. The rug is no disappointment, it is pretty spectacular. I am going to try to do a comprehensive review, as it is not cheap so you understand what you are purchasing. First letís talk about the color, it is not taupe, nor beige nor ivory. It is off-white with brown accent. This rug is a very fine reproduction of a Beni Ourain rug. If you are looking for a Beni Ourain style rug or Moroccan style rug that is off-white with somewhat imperfect accents this is absolutely your rug. The brown accents are not thick; therefore they are somewhat imperfect as they run through the rug not always making a perfect or complete line in the diamond portion of the rug. This adds to the character. This is a wool rug; I have had some shedding but very little. The rug doesnít have a smelly latex backing like a lot of rugs, in fact you can see the pattern clear through to the back as it is a Hand-knotted rug. If you are putting this rug on a wood or tile floor you will need a non-slip pad. The rug is thick, it feels good on your bare feet and it is spectacular. This style of rug is the hottest rug in every design magazine you see right now. The Beni Ourain or Moroccan style rug is timeless. The rug is high quality and I highly recommend it. The color on the Overstock website is very similar to the rug I received although I would say the main color is a little bit lighter.
