Not exactly what it looked like in the picture
I do enjoy this rug. Although, even the picture O sent me when they asked me to review the rug looks different than the color it is. It was a lot darker. It is not the end of the world, but I perceived it as much lighter. It is not at all a comfortable rug, but does not hurt your feet either. I just got a carped pad and have not put it down yet. Hopefully it will make it more comfortable. I got a real velvety feel from the photo of the rug and it is in-fact a hemp rug with more of a straw feeling than velvet-
